Cavalry Holster,
September 10, 2009
By TheBear05

"A perfect fit for my 1872 Uberti open top revolver. The holster did not need moulding for the gun to fit correctly. I treated the holster with Dubbin and it now is softer and more workable. Perfect for Australian Colonial Action"

"I was very impressed with the quality of leather and workmanship in the holster for the cost. As with any new holster it will take a little wearing in, but I am extremely happy with my purchase."

NOT a cavalry holster.,
August 22, 2008
By CDDup
from Deep River, CT
|
"Since it is inherent that any and all cavalry holsters were crossdraws, I bought this holster on the assumption that it would be a cavalry holster, and therefore a crossdraw. I was disappointed to find that it is a straight-down holster, and that I would have to modify it to my needs. While happy with the overall quality, the implications of the title, and the discovery that I had received something not in accordance with that title, forces me to bring the rating of the product down to four stars."

Cavalry Holster,
November 1, 2007
By Large
from Arlington, Wa
|
"I have both of the brown and black. I perfer the brown, as the dye in the black is wearing off on everthing. I use the black for my 1859 new army. and the brown for a 6" tarus judge. "Yes, it will fit." These are a good product. But there can be some confusion when you order as these are a cross draw holster. I recieved the opposite hand when I ordered the brown."

C.S. Brown Cavalry Holster (IG-210191),

By jimden77080

"This holster looks good, is well made and perfectly fits my 1851 Colt Navy model .36 cal. revolver. The holster's only feature requiring attention was its stiffness; this was easily corrected by treating the leather (inside and out) with neatsfoot oil."

Excellent Holster!,
January 29, 2007
By Anonymous
from Jacksonville, FL
|
"I purchased this holster for my Uberti 1858 Remington New Army. It's a little snug at the cylinder, but I'm sure the leather will form to it. The leather is stiff, like new holster leather should be. While it's not lined, the inside leather is not very rough at all. The plug at the muzzle is very solid and well sewn. Note: Since it has a plug at the end and not just sewn flat (like some cheap holsters), it will probably eliminate bluing wear at the muzzle. It is VERY well made and I'm sure it'll be in my family for many years to come.
One important note: If you want to wear it BUTT FORWARD on your RIGHT side as a Confederate cavalry soldier would, order the LEFT HAND version. Remember, saber on your left side, drawn with your right hand, and revolver on your right side, drawn with your left!
I've spent more on holsters, but never gotten a better value for the money. I highly recommend this holster for service revolvers from The War of Northern Aggression."

c.s calvery holster,
November 8, 2006
By phillip8364

"I first purchased this holster for my 1858 Army Target Revolver. The fit with the target sights was to tight. I have a 1860 Army Revolver that fits this holster perfect. The quality of this holster is outstanding. The leather, stiching, brass fiting, and stamping are high quality. I highly recommend this prduct."
