Looks authentic,

"This belt finish matches the open top western holster perfectly. The color appears authenic for the civil war, it's just new. The buckle is brass finish with a dark background and finished nicely. I got mine large so I can wear it outside my coat on cold days. Remember, this is a uniform gunbelt so be sure to fasten the belt through the buckle and underneath the other side of the belt. That way it's concealed and won't be flapping in the wind. Great belt with the holster, cylinder pouch all matching well."

One Minor Issue,
December 3, 2008
By Wolf4591
|
"The CS Belt matched the CS holster in leather quality and workmanship (excellent). The buckle is heavy brass and cleanly cast. My one minor issue is that the buckle end that connects to the belt is too small to allow the belt end to pass outside of the belt. The end has to go inside the belt making it more difficult to adjust and fasten."

Belt,
November 21, 2008
By jiminva

"I got this belt a lot quicker than i expected. It is a fairly nice belt. The only problem i had with it is that the stud that goes in the holes has a flat end, instead of rounded over, and this can scratch that leather fairly easily if you are not paying attention. Otherwise, it seems like a good belt, its a little stiff and has a little too much oil for anything other than dress use, but once it gets broken in, i can see it being pretty darn good."

Get a different buckle,

"This a serviceable holster belt. The strap alone is worth the price. However, the CS shield buckle is a liability, cumbersome to use. At first opportunity I will purchase a plain ordinary buckle in a 2" width to replace the CS buckle."

"The belt is of excellent quality but the buckle design is not good. The loop that connects to the belt is fixed and doesn't let the belt and buckle lay flat. I removed the buckle and replaced it."

Better than expected!,

"I really like this belt. The leather softened up after only a few uses, and is quite comfortable to wear. I needed a new heavy duty belt for my revolver, which I always wear on pack trips into the backcountry, and this is exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend this belt for anyone needing a quality, heavy duty belt for everyday use."

Civil War Belt,
July 10, 2008
By JohnSilver
from Ridgecrest, CA
|
"This is an excellent reproduction of the Civil War Period. It is well-made, and very durable. Unlike todays belts, the tongue of the belt DOES NOT go through the posts of the buckle. Rather, it fits through a leather loop (the Keeper) on the under side of the belt, as shown in the photo of the belt. The belt is too wide to fit through the buckle. This is Historically accurate. NO TRIMMING OF THE BELT IS NECESSARY. A word of advice: buy the belt LARGE. I have a 36" waist. I purchased the Large size, 38" to 43", and found it to be a very tight fit. Only two notches in is VERY snug. (Not much room to grow.) Overall, an EXCELLENT product!"

"I was in need of a belt and buckle for the holster I purchased for my Navy .44 cal cap and ball pistol. I truly was impressed with the leather quality and the authentic look of the buckle. A truly nice belt for your holster and other needs. If you are after a good look for a great price, this is it.
