great holster belt,
October 31, 2009
By boatsandguns

"Bought this to carry my two 21-0179 western holsters for my black powder pistols. Great value , very thick leather. Should last many years. Had to slightly enlarge holes so the belt buckle pin would enter a little easier. Holds both pistols without any sagging. Highly recommended---you won't be sorry for buying this belt."

"For a cheap holster belt, it works, but I recommend spending some extra money and getting a nicer one. This one is usable, but the buckle doesn't seem very sturdy and I don't think the belt finish will hold up very long to the clip in my holster."

"This is one heck of a deal. My belt was first class, very thick with a real brass buckle. The buckle was sort of light weight, but for the price, one heck of a deal. I got this to carry a sidearm and it works great. It still goes through my belt loops and holds everything in place. Semper Fi and our prayers are with all those that risk their necks every day for us."

"One size really does fit most anyone--I'm a 36 and there is several inches of extra. This is an excellent quality belt and the price is hard to believe. This belt an a couple of the matching Western Style Leather Holsters and you're ready for Cowboy Shooting!! Or course you may need a couple of the Cabela's black powder pistols."

Holster belt,
May 27, 2009
By shay5
from New Zealand
|
"After I lost my Ernie Hill belt with the reinforced insert and learned they are no longer made, I sought the cheapest belt I could find. Cabelas sell holster belts for the lowest price I could find so I got one. The mail cost (to New Zealand) almost as much as the belt but it did arrive in about 10 days. It is plain reasonably heavy leather of quite good quality and density, with a metal buckle designed to be replaced with any standard belt buckle. I have stuck a bit of reinforcing where the holster goes and it is quite adequate for my needs. Ernie Hill it ain't but it is good value for money."

No keeper no sale,

"I am looking for a heavy weight belt at least 1 3/4 inches wide. Thought I had found it. Sure glad I read the reviews before ordering. I own a bunch of stuff from Cabela's and always buy here if possible. The reviewer that said they wish the belt had a keeper next to the buckle saved me ordering something I would not have been pleased with. Thanks Cabela's for this wonderful tool."

Good, reasonably-priced belt.,
April 20, 2009
By HappyHoosierCustomer

"I bought this belt to serve as an ordinary pants belt, and it has performed very well in that role. However, I also feel confident that it could support a heavy sidearm.
The leather is thick and solid. I like the fact that it is made from one piece of leather rather than two pieces of leather glued together. I have found that belts of the latter construction do not last as long.
Although others have remarked that their belt came still wet from the oils used in tanning, that was not the case with mine. It was ready to use right out of the package. I cut it to size, put my favorite buckle on it, and was ready to go.
I bought the brown version, and I am so pleased with it that I'm considering ordering the black version as well."

holster belt black/brown,

"I ordered both a black and brown belt, the black belt was fine but the brown belt was a little wet from the dye not dripping but moist. I used a hair dryer set on low and some leather balm and it fixed up right. The belts are basic but do the job, they are worth the money."

sturdy belt,
December 23, 2008
By smerlin

"High quality leather. Orginally I purchased the black, was so impressed I got another in brown. The buckle supplied was inadequate and to small to pass the thick leather through it. Not a problem, just removed the buckles by way of the 2 snaps and replaced with 2 others of my favorites. Holes were alittle to small, just got out my handy pocket knife and reamed them out a tad, perfection. The thickness of the belt that caused me the small problems above really prove a benefit when holstering up. Anything you use with this little gem is staying put."

Leather Holster Belt,
June 10, 2008
By wranglerdude

"For the money, this is a pretty good belt. However, it needs a keeper loop beside the buckle to secure the end of the belt. It wouldn't add much to the cost of manufacture and would be a nice touch. Now, I've got to figure out how to make one!"

You get what you pay for,
May 30, 2008
By mufan49

"This belt is a prime example of "you get what you pay for." It's cheap and shows it. Fair quality, thick leather, drenched in colored oil that stains your hands and smells bad. Cheap buckle. Holes that are too small for the buckle pin (or whatever it's called). The snaps for the buckle loop were off and the loop is crooked and hangs over on one side. And if it's a 46, I'm the queen of England. Didn't return it...would have cost half the belt price for the freight! So, I'll find a use for it...once it drys out."
