Excellent Bore and Bullet Lube,
October 27, 2009
By DoeSlayerDad
from Springfield, IL

"I have used the TC Bore Butter for at least 10 years and I am very pleased with it. I use it to lube the bore after cleaning. I also used it as a lube on any bullet or sabot I load in the barrel of my Traditions Lightning Bolt 50 Cal Muzzleloader. When you lube the bullet and sabot round it further reduces any fouling (as well as making it easier to load the round). A little bore butter goes a long, long way."

Great lube,
October 12, 2009

"I fired 15 loads on my 45 calibler side hammer with out any problems. The maxi-balls were not factory lubbed; I used the Bore butter and loved it. Easy to load the Maxi-balls and there was no barrel fowling with FFg Pyrodex. In the past I had problems with a liquid lube bucause if too much liquid went into the barrel, the firing hole would clog up on me and the ML would fail to fire (the knipple would have to be removed and cleaned; the flash hole too). With the Bore Butter no problems; it seems you can shoot all day without having to clean the ML. I just bought my second tube."

Essential... Not optional,
June 19, 2009

"This is by far the best way to take care of your ML.
I have a CVA accura, and a TC White Mountain Carbine. I was using it only in the TC WMC, but started using it in the CVA with the stainless barrel too. It's smoothe... like butter. Better groups, easier loading, easier cleaning, and coats and protects better than anything else I have used.
Go to a black powder rondezvous, and you will see more people using bore buttern than all other brands combined. Because it works...
I just started using the scented version this year. I like the added smell, it makes me feel even more confident that the deer/hogs won't smell anything. think about it... if you use a pretrolium based product, that you can smell, don't you think the animals can smell it too?"

Once you use it youll never use oil again!!,
April 2, 2009
By Silks85

"I recently purchased a CVA Omega. I heard blackpowder hunting was fun but the clean up was a chore. Today I shot and cleaned my gun for the first time. Not so bad!!! I was told by everyone I hunt with to use Bore Butter when I finished cleaning. I can see why this product does what it says it will. From the minute I put this in my barrell I could tell the rust protection will be better than the traditional gun oil I have used all my life. I was so impressed I busted out my other guns just to give them a coat."

Attention to details,
January 5, 2009
By BowhunterWayne

"This smells a lot better than other products made for this job. If you spent a lot for your muzzleloader then it only makes sense that you take care of it. And a little thing like keeping the barrel lubed during the times of non-use will keep it free from rust and other problems. Some times the little things matter the most. Just remember to run a dry patch down your barrel before loading it for use to get the bore butter out."

TC Bore Butter,

"This is a natural product that even smells good. I use this not only to prevent chain firing, but as a curing agent for my black powder firearms, just like you would oil and bake a cast iron pan to cure it. It is excellent to prevent rust in your firearm as well."

A blackpowder must have,
November 17, 2007
By 82fishon
|
"I switched to this stuff a few years ago after I got fed up with how hard it was to shove a bullet down my barrel. I will never go target practicing again without bore butter in my barrel. Even after 20-30 shots it is still just as easy to load. I use it on all the metals parts of my gun inside and out to inhibit rust. A serious must have."

bore butter,

"Works great. I use it to season both muskets and cap and ball revolvers. I coat the barrell and even the interior of the cylinder and can fire 30 rounds in a SASS match and not clean during the match or wipe down, and get home and clean up with hot water is a breeze. The same with the musket."

You have to get this stuff!,
May 7, 2007
By Reider
from Sacramento, CA
|
"If you buy a black powder gun, bore butter is a must have. After you shoot your rifle and get ready to put it away for the day, month, year, whatever, simply apply a little bore butter to a cleaning patch and swab the barrel. Not only does it season the barrel, but future loading become easier also as the bore butter prevents rust and corrosion from attacking the inside of your barrel. Basically, it's a must have."
