Will not focus,

"the night scope looked like a good deal. The one I recieved could not be focused to anything close to clear viewing. The night view lighting was there, but could not see anything clear enough to be of use. So I sent it back and had another one sent out. Same thing with the next one. Sent it back too."

"bought this product in the hopes of having some fun outside at night. good for the most part, but the field of view with the IR illuminator active is far to small to be effective at all. Make the FOV larger, and this will be a great product for just about anything that has to do with being in the dark."

"Bought this because of the low price and just to see what a generation 1 night vision device at this lower price range would do. I am pleased with it and have used it indoors in no light with infra-red assist and can read the book titles on a book case in a pitch-black room. Outside with just starlight is clear and useful with or without the infra-red assist. If I were to buy another I would stay with the generation 1(to keep price lower)and spend a little more money to get a unit with a wider field of vision."

"This product did not meet my expectations. It did not present an object in darkness as clear or bright as I expected.

"Wow, this item is waaaay too cool! I bought it because how many times do we sit in our tree stands/blinds after dark waiting for deer to disperse from the field, etc. I get bored because i can't see anything, plus at times I bump deer and alert them of my location coming (morning hunts) and going. Not anymore, now I can sit and watch and enjoy the view, not only during hunting season, but when I go camping. Great product for the price, if I hit lotto, I'll by the Gen III models, but for now this hits the mark!"

"THE QUALITY OF THIS ITEM IS MUCH BETTER THAN I EXPECTED, FOR SUCH A GOOD SALE PRICE. YOU DO NEED TO LEARN HOW TO FOCUS, AND IT TAKES TIME, BUT THE CLARITY IS REALLY PRETTY GOOD, AFTER YOU LEARN TO USE IT. WOULD RECOMMEND IT, BUT GIVE YOURSELF TIME TO LEARN."

"The night vision works great in total darkness I will use it in a dark jungle in latin america for spotting wild life. Being a monocular and a screen it doesn't have sense of depth 3D. I recommend this device for all who are afraid of the dark."

"This monocular works great. It does exactly what I needed it to do. Sitting in the stand at night with clear vision out to 60 yards. Not so great in the open fields but excellent for the dense woods. A stronger infrared beam would be an improvement but for the money asked an excellent first piece of night vision. Really gives us a leg up on those slippery bob's."

"These night vision goggles are completely unacceptible. Look and then pull them down and I can see just about as well with the naked eye. I have looked through some, granted more expensive goggles, and it is like day light. I guess you get what you pay for, but don't even think about throwing your money away on these."

"I purchased my first "night vision" monos. This is a generation I grade. The price is set where anyone can afford it. For what you get, it just doesn't get any better than this. I'm very pleased with it. It's perfect for deer hunting at the "crack of dawn". Where as your ready for the shot when the sunlight allows. Will buy a second one soon."

"This is my first NV that Im planning to use for hunting trips and am very pleased with the ease of use and clarity it has for a generation 1 NV. Tested it out at about 75 yards away you can still pick out a persons hand in complete darkness and tell how many fingers they are holding up... very pleased with this gift!"
