Mad dog 3 ay hitch,
October 29, 2009
By ttboy2009

"Offers lots of towing flexibility and is quite functional. I like the fact that it extends out further from the ATV and you are not right in line with the exhaust trying to attach a tralier to the hitch. Unfortunately sometimes that reach can hang up on the ground in some terrain. Overall it is very functional and works really well."

ATV trailer hitch extender,
October 12, 2009
By Anonymous
from Walnut Hhill, Alabama

"This product indeed extends the reach of my Yamaha Timberwolf's trailer hitch almost beyond the circumference of the vehicle's rear tires. This added reach allows improved maneuverability when taking sharp turns or backing a trailer. It also elevates the hitch connection above the axle or centerline of the rear tires, helping to level a small utility trailer and reduce its tendency to bottom the hitch when going up or down sharp changes in the grade of a trail. Main problems are that it cannot easily be made fast to the factory hitch (the latter being located roughly in the plane of the axle and just slightly aft of the center of the wheels) to prevent the trailer from swinging it to port or starboard as the towing vehicle turns (i.e., it swings left and right, allowing the hitch to interfere with the rear tires during turns. Especially annoying when trying to back the trailer). On the plus side, it's still a great improvement over the factory setup and is heavily made - should outlast the 'wolf (which is about 17 years old but going as strong as ever). I'd still recommend it over trying to live with the factory setup."

Mad Dog 3-Way Hitch,

"The Hitch is just the right Add-on that is needed if you use your ATV to haul different types of carts and trailers. The only problem I have with the hitch is that the bolt they sent to connect the hitch to the ATV is too short. I had to purchess a longer bolt that would go all the way through and be able to use the star washer and lock washer and have a full nut with no threads showing."

"Thisis a wonderful addition to my 4 wheeler. It enables me to tow garden implements around my home as well as tow my trailer in the woods constructing things like shooting houses Once it is installed on the 4 wheeler ( with one bolt and nut) there are no tools required to enable the towing to begin."

Mad Dog 3-way hitch,
April 20, 2009
By Kentucky675

"I bought this hitch to use on the back of an older MTD Garden tractor that I kept after the mower deck went bad. I use the tractor for pulling my dump cart around the yard using the hitch pin hole. The main reason I bought the hitch was so I could pull my Pelican bass boat that I have on a jet-ski trailer, to and from the ponds down on the farm nearby. By having this set-up, I don't have to worry about hooking my pick-up to the pelican anymore when I want to go fishing, and I can easily get through the paths going to the ponds and not have to worry about scratching up the truck, knocking my mirrors off or not being able to manuever in tight quarters. Works great, the 3/4 inch bolt that came with the hitch fit the garden tractor hitch pin hole perfect without having to do any modifications."

Good deal,

"Overall, I think this is a great product. Yes, if you use it for heavy pulling it will shift left or right. But used within the limits for what it is intended, it works great. I have pulled trailers loaded with wood, sleds loaded with kids, and even jerked a couple of stumps out with it. No problems noted!"

"My 2003 atv would allow placement of a standard ball, but when I tried to hook up my trailer, the built in toolbox would not allow it to fit.
The mad dog hitch move the ball back enough to allow the hookup!"

Great Hitch... Great Price,
February 3, 2009
By SEE7

"I purchased this hitch and mounted it on my Honda Rancher ES. Perfect ! Cutting fire wood and hauling it in a small utility trailor through snow and ice was real easy for this hitch. The rise on the hitch is just the right height, however, I'd would have liked to had the lenght a few inches longer so I didn't have to get so far under the 4 wheeler to hook up the trailor. I also used a sled on the snow that attached with a rope. I found that looping the rope throught the half circle under the hitch and then over the ball it wouldn't come off. This worked very well. This hitch is made of heavy steel, painted and should last for years of use. Dollar for dollar this is a very good purchase."

"This is my 2nd one. I bent the first one yanking cedar stumps with my 4wheeler. Not one of my brightest moments. I thought it might twist around under load, but I put it on with an 18" pipe wrench, and it stayed in place. Top notch."

"The hitch worked very well. It brings the hitch point out and up making it much easier to hook and disconnect. I hauled several full loads of wood with a 4ft by 8ft trailer with 21/2 ft sides. Try one. You will like it."
