Wall tent,September 15, 2008
By cab62from Russellville, AR
"I just got back from a Colorado Elk hunt of two weeks long. The tent worked out great. It rained 5 days, and we stayed compeletly dry. The wind blew a lot. There was plenty of room. I highly recommend this product. It is well built and will last a lifetime if taken care of properly."

great tent,August 13, 2008
By pistolpackingpetefrom kamiah, Id.
"I own a 10x12 wall tent and a 16x20 wall tent. I have used them for several years and I really enjoy them. I have used them in temps as cold as -20 degrees, in as much as 4 ft. of snow and have had winds up to 55+. I use them two or more times a year(hunting season and winter camping trips). I do however suggest that you use a tarp over the top of the tent if it is going to rain or snow. It really helps in protecting the tent. I also own some backpacking tents and some family tents. All of them have been wonderful and I would refer my friends to get them."

sturdy,February 11, 2008
By matwood58
"The tent looks really sturdy. We haven't been able to set it up yet, but the canvas looks very sturdy. We are really looking forward to camping this summer. Once we get started camping I think the fever will be for a long time. We also bought the really nice stove too so we will be warm just like home."

Superior Tent,November 2, 2007
By docdwsfrom Southlake, tx
"I just got back from an awesome second season elk hunt at 10,000 feet, 18 inches of snow, and 10 degrees temp. This 12 X 14 wall tent was amazing. It withstood high winds, snow drifts on the windward side, and snow falling en masse from Aspen trees above ( I know: don't camp under trees. We had no choice!). We had to use the trailer drop-down gate to scrape snow from an area for the tent. A pearl: Use a bail of hay opened up and spread on the ground for moisture absorption in vestibules or wall tents that do not have a floor. Make sure it is "Certified Hay". The Colorado Game Warden inspected our camp and could tell it was certified by the bailing twine color. They want to keep weeds from germinating in uwanted camp areas. Cabelas, your Outfitter Tents as a cook/gear areas are an awesome compliment to my Bighorn II sleeping quarters tent. Couldn't have had near the experience without these products! Keep up the high standards of your products!"

By marksman0001from Alberta Canada
"Graet delivery time 5 Days Total to Canada . The Tent exceeds what I expected this is my second Tent and included Tent Pegs Repair Kit storage Bag and tie down rope. The only thing I change is the Metal tensioners to wooden ones. The Chimney pipe in 5" is hard to find in small town canada had to pick it up in the City . Go for the late hunt in November and find out what cold temp. camping is all about with the tent so far so good. marksman"

Tough Tent,August 10, 2007
By weide5from North Dakota
"We have had a 12X17 wall tent for about 12 years. It has taken everything ND weather can dish out and then some. We have an internal frame. It recently took winds in excess of and estimated 60 mph. The winds tore up two Alaskan Guide tents but this one was still standing tall."

Outfitter Wall Tent,November 27, 2006
By elkhunterhoss
"I have the 14' x 17' model. It easily accomodated three hunters and a dog this fall and adding another hunter would have been no problem. We had room for our cots, gear, a kithen area, camp chairs and the wood stove without feeling crowded. The tent was roomy and warm. The white canvas breathes and lets a lot of light in. Since I have a large tent it went up easily with three of us. However, I took it down alone which was quite a chore. I have used these tents out west, (Wyoming), and in West Virginia with rain, sleet, snow, and sub-freezing temperatures with no problems. I highly reccomend them."

Home away from home,November 20, 2006
By 8812from Cazadero, Calfornia
"I ordered the Montana Wall Tent before a trip to Idaho. The hunting party was myself and five close friends. We were to be gone from 7 to 11 days. This tent allowed us to make it for the 11 days. It was large enough for all of us to simply feel like we were home. We were warm like fleas.haha. Love your products."

12x14 wall tent,October 12, 2006
By Jefefrom western Washington
"I purchased the treated canvas 12x14x5 wall tent last year, and used it from archery season through late elk muzzle loading. It performed very well.
The aluminum frame is easy to assemble, and the tent ended up being surprising easy to set up. I'd never put one up by myself before, but including frame and tent I had it up in 40 minutes the first time. Now it takes about 1/2 hour. Two people can do it in less time.
It stood up to some pretty wild December storms, at one point having 6 inches of snow on it when I returned from one hunt. No problems with leakage or frame bending - I do recommend treating the seams with Canvak, or something like that. I also purchased the Outfitter Stove package and had no problem staying warm. There was plenty of room for me, my two sons, our gear, stove, table, chairs, etc.
I'd recommend this to anyone. The atmosphere is much better than a trailer, and you don't have to worry about where to park it during the off season."
