Boyt Boundary Lakes Flax Shotgun Case,August 24, 2009
By ReelReviewerfrom Boulder, CO
"It is expensive, but a very well made case. I personally love the zipper. It is oversized, brass, and will be working long after I'm in the ground. Having said that, I anticipated that the metal might scratch the wood on my OU, so I purchased a Si-impregnated gun slip for about $10. The OU goes in the slip. The slip goes into the Boundary Lakes. The wood is thus separated from the excellent metal hardware, and I have the added protection of more padding and water repellency of Si."

Boyt Boundary Lakes Shotgun Case,May 4, 2009
By kejekfrom SC
"I bought this case in March 2009 for my new 32 inch barrel Berretta O/U SPIII. It's a very nice looking case and sturdily built - just like my new shotgun. However, the muzzle end fit too tight for my double barrels. A single barrel gun will fit easily. Another BIG concern was it's large brass zipper had very sharp edges exposed when unzipped. I did not want to risk scratching my gun with the zipper while trying to force the muzzle into its resting spot. So I returned it for a no-hazzle refund. The sharp zipper edges is why I rated it so low."

Boyt Shotgun case,April 16, 2008
By Charlie12345from Virginia Beach, VA
"Very well made and attractive shotgun case. I had to put the muzzle end of the case in a vice to bend and "open-up" the leather end so my O/U Browning would fit because it was too flat. This case will last the life of the shotgun which is a lifetime. Supports the old adage "you get what you pay for"."

Zippers,May 14, 2007
By Dennis66from La Vern, Ca
"Overall, the Boyt shotgun case is well made, to the point of overkill. In my opinion, the zipper is far too large for the job it needs to do. The zipper on my case was actually defective. It would jam every few inches, and at one point it wouldn't zip at all...consequently, one could not close the case. Also, the shoul der strap is located on the side (rather than the top edge), so that when slung over the shoulder, the lower part of the case hits against ones leg when walking. All the metal clips are far too large, resulting in unnecessary weight."
