buyer,October 30, 2009

"The write-up that described the sling shot said it had an integrated ammo magazine. This is the main reason I bought this model is because I thought there was simething so that I could carry the ammo with the slingshot. There is nothing with it that you can carry ammo in.
There is a magnet in the pouch that is supposed to hold the steel ammo in place as it is being fired. This might work if you always shoot steel shot, but it doesn't work if you shoot lead balls or rocks.
The extra layer of leather sewn on the pouch to hold the magnet in place makes it too stiff to really grip. I could not get lead balls to stay in place as I tried to shoot them.
It did shoot pretty good after I cut the extra layer of leather off the pouch and took out the magnet."

Decent Slingshot Overall,December 15, 2008
By AndyElfrom Lake Villa, IL
"I have used several slingshots in the past, and this is definitely one of the better ones. The adjustments to the wrist pad and draw length are nice. Comfortable grip. The magnetic shot holder took some getting used to, since I was used to a plain leather holder, but it holds steel shot firmly in place. I tried the 1/4" steel shot for hunting, with mixed results. For hunting anything larger than a small bird or squirrel I recommend the 3/8" steel shot or even the 1/2" glass shot with this sling. Overall a pretty nice product."

Marksman Laserhawk III Slingshot,December 15, 2008
By Marty47from Horse Cave, Kentucky
"Excellent, well made product! The pad (magnetic) that holds the bb is still alittle stiff, but getting easier to use each time I practice with it.
Highly recommend this product."

Does the trick,October 6, 2008
By Scott425from PA
"The slingshot works well, and the magnet in the pouch is very handly. However, the pouch is slightly stiff at first if you try to shoot smaller items that are not magnetic. Also, the rubber bands tear fairly easily if you do any amount of hard shooting. It does shoot a consistent and powerful shot, so it is satisfactory."

cheap construction,October 6, 2008
By TWXX
"The metal framework is solid, but the leather pouch that the steel ball rests in parted from the rubber on about the thirtieth use. Worked fine up to then, but the cheap manufacturing quality was apparent from the first--it was just a question of when it would break, not if it would. You can't overcome cheap, so I give the product the lowest rating."

Marksman Laserhawk III Talon Grip Slingshot,August 18, 2008

"This is a gimick slingshot. Accuracy very limited and each shot is very inconsistent.
Arm rest is poorly designed and does not properly support the slingshot."

Got two for a VBS - one broke,July 24, 2008
By MominVAfrom Leesburg, VA
"These were nice slingshots, and I bought them because they looked sturdy and authentic, but also easy to use, since I was getting them for a Vacation Bible school activity in my games area. I also liked the price. Unfortunately, one of them broke on the second of 5 days. The strap came out of it's holder. Thankfully, the age group for which they were required were already done with the game for the week. I will probably try and exchange it, but haven't done so yet."

Well built, reasonably priced slingshot,July 21, 2008

"This is a nicely put together slingshot. I like the way you can adjust the overhang of the front end shooting yoke, and the position of the support over your arm. This is a nice slingshot."

Review on the Marksmen Laserhawk Slingshot,February 11, 2008
By montanafisherfrom Tucson, AZ
"I really liked this slingshot, the only problem was after about a week the rubber cord broke. When this happened I just called Cabelas and they sent me a brand new Marksmen Laserhawk Slingshot for free, and i got it in about a week. I would recomend this product to anyone looking to buy a slingshot!"

Good design, poor quality control,August 27, 2007
By whiskeycoonhoundfrom California
"Excellent design, well made slingshot, except for the fact that the 'arm brace' was not made correctly. The bends are slightly off-kilter at the point where the two 'arm brace bars' bend downward toward the arm. Also, the two perpendicular 'arm brace bars' do not end at the same point. This causes the 'arm brace' to lay crooked on the arm. This seems to be a result of poor quality control as the overall design is very effective. It costs half the price of the unit to return it to Cabela's so I'll probably just buy another one from a different vendor and hope I get lucky."

Good Enough,July 17, 2007
By Merrick1from Massachusetts
"I recently baught this wrist rocket, and it was very cheap, cost me nore more than about 20 dollars for it and the ammo, it is reasonably fast, but not very accurate at all, it takes some practice obviously. go out back and shoot at cans. It isnt as fast as i anticipated it to be as well...after a good 20 shots with the it, the elastic starets to stretch and looses its power, but thats nothing a few replacement bands cant fix! for the most part its good to me and i love it!"

Best slingshot ever,March 9, 2007
By coyoteshootersfrom Milroy,Pennsylvania
"I got this slingshot last year for shooting chipmunks back at camp. I loved it because when you run down to finish them off and the steel balls stayed in place in place while i was running down through the woods after these critters and the steel ball did'nt move or fall of. I also used this for shooting groundhogs, doves, Blackbirds, squirrels, rabbits, cats and crows. I would strongly reccommend this product to young and old hunters for getting those critters out of the backyard. I wish the best huntin for ya'll."
