"I finaly broke down and got myself a pair of good wool pants and I don't regret it one bit. I have had them in warm and cold temps they performed great in both. I wouldn't want to climb a mountain in warm weather but for a walk in the flats they're not as hot as one would think. They are also nice and warm in the snow with the wind blowing. I just wish I would have bought a pair years ago. No more fancy hunting clothing for this guy."

"These pants are solid. The construction is sound, and the material sturdy. If you plan to backpack while wearing these pants, be aware that the suspender buttons can press uncomfortably into one's stomach if the waist strap on the backpack is used. Great pants for cold weather."

"These Filson wool pants are PERFECT! I had 2 pairs of Cabela's Dry-Plus® Legacy Wool™ Pants sent and both were uncomfortable compared to the Filson. The Cabela's brand was sent back immediately. In the Filson there is no liner, but when you wear a pair of long-underwear, they're not "picky" at all.
I am 5' 8", 182lbs, athletic build, and usually have a difficult time finding pants.
I wear a 33" waist X 30" inseam in jeans. I ordered a 34" waist X 30" hemmed inseam, and they fit perfectly. The feel/fit/finish are a testament to the Filson name. Well worth the $40 increase in price compared to the Cabela's equivalent.
They are loose fitting in buttocks area as well as the upper thighs. They fit over hiking/hunting boots just fine. I didn't try with a pack-boot. They fit fine in the crotch area too.
These will be great for short stints of sitting while deer hunting, but I bought them mainly for stalking.
Thank you Cabela's for being so understanding when dealing with my shopping intricacies for deer season! Your customer service rocks! The package showed a week sooner than you said it would!"

"If you are looking for high quality heavy duty wool pants, these are the ones. They are much thicker than the mid weight Filson pants. I wore these in pretty cold weather, including snow, in MT this year and they did a darn good job of keeping me warm."

"Bought these pants for deer hunting in wisconsin. Had an opportunity to wear them on a January 2-4 hunt where temps ranged from 0 degrees (-15 windchill) to 30 degrees. My legs stayed warm while sitting and i wasn't uncomfortably hot while walking. Expensive, but the quality seems to be there and time will tell if they were worth the $,"

"great service from cabelas. i bought the pants over the phone but own several filson products.cant go wrong with filson gear.itook them on ahunting and fishing trip but the weather turned out to be too warm.wore them a couple nights to work them in. but they never really got tested.quality is a 5 but pricey.great pants with filsons rep im sure theyllkeep me warm for a long time"

"Best hunting pants i have ever owned,very warm and wind resistant. I sat out in 7 hours in rain and wet snow and the pants were still dry on the inside. these pants and the double mackinaw cruiser are outstanding garments against cold,wind,rain and snow.from now on,filson clothing will be the only garments i will use when i go hunting or any other activity in the woods."
