"I gave my 10 year old grandson my Stevens single barrel shotgun that my father gave me over 50 years ago. He was having trouble cocking it. This expander solved the problem. Quality product, does exactly what its supposed to."

"This hammer extension caused my encore to misfire each time I tied to shoot, as soon as I removed the extension the gun worked fine. I believe it weighed the hammer down to much to strike the primer hard enough. I would not recomend this product for this gun."

"This attachment works very well. The handgun I put it on has a 2x scope mounted on it and this expander made it much easier to cock, as the scope mount made it hard to get a finger on the hammer."

"The scope on my 7mm-08 Encore sits within 3/8 inch of the hammer. The expander fit directly onto the hammer without removing the scope and, once tightened with the single allen screw, had 0 play in any direction. I used the setup on a recent moose, elk and bear combo hunt in very difficult conditions in Newfoundland. It worked extremely well both on left and right handed shots. Meat was made."

"The Hammer Expander I received was too heavy on the under-side. It needs to be undercut quite a bit to clear the Tang. The Hammer of the Marlin 1895 Cowboy, 45-70 comes within a fraction of a inch of touching the tang. It would be better if the hammer-expander were one-sided only, but changeable from one side to the other. In otherwords ambidextrous. The hammer on the above mentioned rifle is cut to accommodate either side fastening.

"I USED THE EXPANDER ON A LEVER ACTION .17 CAL
AND IT FIT ON PERFECTLY WITHOUT A PROBLEM.
PRIOR TO HAVING IT ON I COULDN'T GET THE HAMMER COCKED DUE TO THE SCOPE MOUNTS, ESPECIALLY WITH GLOVES ON. THIS IS TRULEY A SIMPLE BUT GREAT PRODUCT."
