SKB Takedown Shotgun Case,

"Very high quality. When closed, it doesn't look so much like a gun case. More like a musical instrument case. This is a good thing when I carry my shotgun into a motel. The Browning case is nice, but it would stick out like a sore thumb. I would prefer combination locks on this case, but the key is okay."

Great Fit For Trap Gun,

"Nice case.
I purchased this case for my son after getting him an Over/Under 30" Trap Gun. We had his gun modified (stock cut, comb hardware re-arranged and a Gracoil LOP added) and even with the butt plate cantored and the adjustable comb extended the stock and receiver fits nicely in this case. The Over/Under barrels fit like a glove as well. The clasps that close the case are sturdy and apparently the manufacturer offers a lifetime field replacement for the clasps so that if the airlines screw them up they can get a replacement to you overnight. This was a nice surprise.
I would recommend this case for any Over / Under under 32"."

"This case is really an awesome case for the money. It compares to higher priced cases in workmanship and function but does not require a large sum of money to own! I like that!!!
Fits my Beretta Silver Pigeon 20 ga like a charm with room for chokes and a gun wiping cloth.
Buy it and you'll be pleased!"

"I ordered this for my wife and she did not like it because, it "looked like her old band instrument case from grade school." we sent it back and got the Browning.
It looked rock solid, but not exactly a show piece."

"This product deserves all of the stars available for rating. The case has a quality presentation in all points. The outside has solid protection from handling and weather, the full hinge on the back is required, the locks are of the best in function/design and can be replaced. The protective feet on the bottom give you the position for opening in the correct position and stop the case from slipping as they are rubber.
The seal on the mating case top and bottom will definately hold out the outside elements when the case is closed.
The inside surface is of top quality and will not harm or cause damage of any type to the gun placed in this case (as long as the inside surface is dry). The inside hinges fold and are of a material that will not harm your gun.
I'am so well pleased with this product supplied by Cabelas/SKB that I will procure a two gun take down case in the future.
This is exactly the quality I expect Cabelas to supply to their customers."

"Excellent value. Has features of the more expensive cases. I use it to carry my sporting shotgun to the gun club. 30" bbls with extended choke tubes fit nicely. The locks were a bit sticky at first but work fine after a shot of wd40."

"I've owned this case for years and it is indeed - outstanding. My Browning Citori with 28" barrels fits perfectly. However, my Browning 525 with 30's and extended choke tubes does not. If SKB would only make a breakdown shotgun case for longer barrels, I'd be shedding some denero today."

"I have purchased 3 of these cases. The are indestructable and will protect your shotgun from just about anything. Nothing fancy here just a solid durable case. Piano hinged in the rear of the case. Lockable front buckles up front. Vinal wrapped. O-ring sealed when closed to keep out moisture. Interior lined with felt and extra cut out for chokes, wrenches. etc. Can't go wrong."
