This case is designed for shotguns, and has separate pockets that keep your stock protected from the
barrel. SKB's patented Dry-Tek® moisture-evacuation system transfers condensation from inside
the case to the outside, while absorbent fibers in the lining and two layers in the padding work to wick
away moisture from your firearm. One-way lamination on the exterior of the layers let water molecules
exit the case, but won't let water enter. The 600-denier shell is tough enough to stand up to years of
use, and it's coated with polyurethane for a lifetime of dependable water-resistant protection. These
cases also have leather handles and a shoulder sling, and there's a D-ring on the case ends for
hanging. Self-repairing oversized zippers can be locked with luggage-style paddocks. Sizes: 28", 30", 32". Color: Green.

Go with this case over the more expensive Boyt,October 16, 2009

"I recently purchased this case used and a used Boyt Signature series takedown case. I prefer the looks of the Boyt case, but the SKB case will protect a gun better. The rivets that hold the carry strap to the Boyt case extend all the way through the interior lining and can scratch the gun barrel. The rivets heads on the SKB case do not extend through the interior lining of the case. The canvas and leather piece that separates the barrel and stock compartments of the Boyt case are also attached with rivets whose exposed heads can scratch a gun stock. The piece that separates the compartments on the SKB case is sewn in to the case. The zipper on the Boyt case is metal and while it is equipped with a zipper guard, I could feel the zipper on the inside of the case with my finger when the case was partially closed I'm sure it could scratch a gun stock or barrel as well. The nylon zipper on the SKB case should not scratch a gun and pulls much easier than the metal zipper on the Boyt."

"Holds my SPR 312 perfectly w/ extended choke tubes. Compact and soft sided with plenty of protection for my gun. I though it a little pricey at first, but would buy another one immediately if this one disappeared. No extra pockets for stuff I keep other places anyway."

"The quality of this product looks to be good, but the size is so tight closing the zipper would damage my barrel. You would need to order the next size up. Also the case has a brass zipper and you need to be careful not to scratch your gun on it when sliding it in or out of the case. This case is going back."

"I think this soft case is the best case ever... I have a shotgun and I used to have a hard case to carry it to the range twice a week to shoot trap and skeet.... It took up to much room as it was long... The SKB soft case is easier to use and to carry... The only thing that could make it better is a large pocket to carry the chokes and choke tool.... I love it......."

"I use this case for my 28" barrel Over/Under. It is durable, waterproof and good looking. The only thing that is a little cumbersome is the strap. It's a little awkward to carry by hand and a little awskward to sling over your shoulder. I am going to take it out from under the ring about 2/3 of the way up and it will be a little easier to sling I'm guessing."

"The best gun case I've ever owned, and I've owned quite a few. Perfect, snug fit, with more than adequate protection! I've owned other manufacturer's canvas material gun cases, and you could always "feel" the clear outline of the gun inside through the relatively thin walls of the material. With the SKB Dry-Tek case, not only do you have great side to side and top to bottom protection from handling and normal fair wear and tear, but you also have the peace of mind of knowing your firearms are protected against the elements and any changes in weather with the Dry-Tek system! "I've been using these case for 7 years. This was my eighth SKB Shotgun breakdown case. They are by far the best cases I've ever used. My gun room is in my basement which means moisture. I store my guns in the SKB cases after cleaning with silicone rag. I have not experience a trace of rust or corrosion of any kind. The BEST!"
