"This cabinet does the job for me. The only issue was the barrel rests were too high for 4 of my carbine length rifles. To solve that problem I drilled 2 holes in the middle partition 5 inches below the factory barrel rest holes. Mounted the left barrel rest and now all works perfectly!"

"I have had my locker (its not a real safe) for about a year and have been pleased. It keeps my guns from falling into hands that shouldn't be which is why I bought it in the first place. I added the top unit for handguns and the left side is great for all the ammo and a few other items. Make sure you bolt it to a stud in the wall to keep it where you put it."

"Seems good for the money. Foam, not so good considering the money, though it works on the long gun side, the shelf side I would have preferred some kind of felt or similar. Plenty sturdy. Many holes, I would think less of these or at least caps for covering unused areas where not pinned to wall/floorboard would help in keeping the weapons dry in a moist climate(keep spiders out). Double door is great. Dual key is good if u do ammo not pistols in the left side. Fits perfect in the apartment small closets I have. The sticky foam on the long gun side was ok easy to apply, though I did manage to fumble the alignment on the tops above the rifle holder, its fully functional rather than fully cosmeticaly pleasing. Instructions sparse but usable. Do like the options of "stacking on" the ammo locker on the top(need a bigger house first)."

"I bought my Stack-On from Cabela's in 1998. I've been pleased. This is not a fireproof safe, but it beats leaving guns in your closet. I'm glad I have the double door, b/c I can keep ammo and powder locked away. The doors use separate keys too. Depending on your guns, the gun side might be a little tight if you have it full--don't want to rush and knock your guns against each other. The foam padding is useless and attracts moisture, so toss it and put down some plywood or wood. I had some steel buttplates develop rust from the foam. The other problem I had was when one of the locks worked itself loose, but I was able to get the door open and fix it (otherwise I would have needed a locksmith)."
