"For everyone thinking of buying one of these racks for a 2002 chevy 2500hd I must say if you mount the rack with the extentions between the roof handels above the rear seat I chalenge you to find a better location. I have my rifle on the front rack and a 48 inch level for my job on the rear. Everywhere else I tried to mount it the level wouldn't fit. the rifle is well within reach from the front seat and out of the way for headroom in the front and rear seats. I would recomend this rack to anyone. Main thing to do is try it everywhere in your truck before mounting anything. I spent about 1.5 hours tring to decide where to put it and about 20 minites actually installing the rack itself. Gary"

"I bought the single gun rack to install in a '95 Ford standard cab pickup. I do a lot of camping and gold prospecting and use the rack to carry a shotgun for protection reasons in the boonies and a rifle during deer season. The rack fits forward towards the windshield leaving plenty of headroom ( it isn't directly above my head) and allows me to have the sun visors in a position that I can still use them, and the same time allowing the sun visors to help with concealment.
Access to the weapon is fast and easy, one pull of a strap and the weapon is in your hand. I have never touched my hat or head against the weapon or empty rack when entering or exiting the truck. I am 5,- 11" tall. After installation I drove a small wooden wedge in place on the main bar to insure against rattles or vibration, which are non-existant.
I haven't tried it, but I don't think a two gun rack would work in my truck. I'm sure I would hit my head with the larger rack. Keep in mind, the taller you are, the farther back you will have the seat, which increases your headroom with this placement. Excellent item, no complaints, buy it with confidence!!
One more thing. Before installing the rack I stopped by the local auto body shop to make sure the mounting screws would not penetrate the roof and to get their views on installation. It doesn't hurt to be cautious before drilling those holes!"

"I have this rack mounted in the canopy of my New Holland Tractor securing a mini 14 ranch rifle. The adjustable portion of the rack had to be cut to fit the frame of the canopy, but that was both expected and suggested in the mounting instructions. It holds the rifle securely even over bumpy fields and puts in in easy reach for the occasional varmit in the field. Very pleased and satisfied."

"I recently purchased a Sky-Bar gun rack for a UTV. After reviewing the installation instructions I was leary of drilling into the rollbar and possibly reducing the integrity of the rollbars. I installed the rack utilizing two hose clamps per side with no apparent compromise to the rigidity of the system. The installation is rock solid and only took minutesto install. In the unlikely event that it shows movement I will replace the hose clamps with pipe/muffler clamps but I do not see that becomming a problem. This installation method requires no drilling and can be moved ahead and back with little effort if needed."

"A safe and handy way to carry your rifles or shotguns. It is easy to install on the inside of the roof and keeps your scopes safe from jarring, etc. I have three of them and could only find them at Cabella's.
Yes I have recommended this product to friends and relatives. I have tree farms and a wildlife management area and it is important for me to have a rifle handy. The wild hogs are tearing up my priperty, digging up my newly planted seedlings, and must be eradicated either by trapping or shooting. Of course if you catch one in a trap, you have to wind up shooting it."

"Bought it to use on my Kubota RTV 900. I installed it on the underside of my roll bars and drilled a new hole for the one backet because my hole centers were shorter than it coud go. Worked excellent, carried two guns through very rugged terrian and never moved. You will need to be able to think a little to install this but it is worth the time spent doing it. It worked on my RTV I'm sure it will work on any vehicle."

"I wouldnt say it's for 2007 dodge 3500 unless you are handy with taking things apart. Too do it right you have to pull the head liner, put it this way, give yourself about 3 hours from start to finish. I like the product, but if you dont like working at something hire someone who does. now that it's in "it's great""
