"The wheel kit is worth the extra money. It keeps the branches and grass from becoming entangled in the spokes. It made hauling the cart through the Florida palmettos a lot easier."

"I ordered these to put on my ICE trike. They look nice and are well worth the price paid. Very durable. Translation: a bit heavy for bikes/trikes, but doable. I plan on replacing with home made wheel covers from Coroplast which will be much lighter."

"I have not used it ( the game hauler ) yet, but It was missing some parts so I had to send it all back, lucky I ordered it well before hunting season. Seams like it could haul a nice load of wood in-between kills. Lets hope I get to see an elk in it also."

"I purchased the wheel shield kit for my mag hauler. As others have stated installation is a little difficult due to the short bolts but still doable. One of my shield had the center hold cut oblong. It probably slipped during the drilling process and quality control didn't catch it. I just put that one on the inside of one of the wheels so it wouldn't show. The shine on the covers was excessive for something I would be trying to stash out of sight so I roughed them up with sandpaper and painted with camo paint. Overall I'm quite satisfied with the kits. They do what they are designed to do."

Super Mag Wheel Shields,

"Attaching the shields to the wheels was difficult following the enclosed diagram. It is much easier to just lay the wheel down on a table with one cover under it. Then place the other cover on top; line the holes up; use a finger to hold the nut in the whole on the bottom cover; and, then put the bolt down through the top cover and screw in the nut using some downward pressure. You can center the cover over the axle hole prior to final tightening. Much easier than trying to do it with the wheel standing up as the diagram illustrates."

Shield Kit Difficult to Install,

"Although the installation of the spoke shields should be easy, the four machine screws supplied for each pair of wheel shields are too short for one person assembly. It takes one person to hold the alignment and compress the two shields on the wheel, while a second person installs the machine screws and nuts. This situation could be avoided, making the installation really simple, if the machine screws were a little longer.
Since the wheels are solid rubber on the newer game carriers, it is recommended to delete the slot in the covers to access the air valve stem for pnuematic tires. I have not yet field tested the shields to verify if the slot will allow sticks to get caught in the spokes. The covers appear to be quite durable and should perform fine once the installation huddle is overcome."

"I am not sure you really need these on this hauler because the spokes are very large in diameter and strong. The very good thing about these covers is twigs or limbs will not get at your spokes and that relates to less drag hauling your deer out of the woods so that's a plus. Have good and safe hunting"

"The wheel shields are great for keeping sticks and brush out of the wheel spokes. I rated them as a 4 because the color is not the best. They are a bright black color that can be seen along way off on bright days. A dull green or brown would have been a much better color. I have used a hauler for 5 years and I hunt a least 30-40 times each year. I hunt by my self alot and the hauler with wheel shields makes recovering game very easy. I even use it to get my gear into the hunt area sometimes."

"I hunt an area which encompases woodland and mountainside and found this product great for keeping unwanted branches etc. from snagging in the wheels and slowing you down on your way back to your car. Easy to put on, take off and clean."

"These keep snow from packing in the spokes. Also very helpful in keeping sticks, limbs, weeds from snagging in the wheels. Would recommend painting them with flat paint, they shine brightly when sun hits them."

"The Cabela's Super Mag Hauler Wheel Shields performed perfectly. The Rocky pack horse trail was littered with tree branches that were blown down from recent storms. As the mag Hauler was manuevered down the mountain, the wheel shields prevented branches, sticks and mud from entering the spokes of the wheels."

"The wheel shield kit is a worthwhile addition to the mag hauler. I tried mine without and debris will get caught and possiblly damage the wheel spokes. I have used this product in the woods and in shelled corn fields, I'm glad I bought them.
I did scuff them up and paint them with flat paint as they are quite shiny."

"The wheel covers were handy to prevent brush from getting in the wheels in Montana.
Three weeks later the covers were again appreciated when hauling a deer 3/4 of a mile out of the woods in northern Wisconsin during gun season.
The wheel covers prevented the cart from ever getting caught up on brush or branches.
Well worth the money!"
