"The mag hauler overall is well built. But it gets an average review because the wing nuts that hold the hauler closed are made of plastic and broke on the first trip out. I had to buy some steal wing nuts to replace them. For the cost of this thing I expected better. If you buy this plan a trip to the hardware store."

"I finally got to use it this is agreat product.I hunt on public land and I walk a mile to my stand.When I load up all my gear on the cart it weights about 40lbs.I go over some rough terrain this cart had no problems going over it.It's like I didn't have anything to carry with me.My lower back really loves it."

"I ordered the super mag hauler because of the 550 lb. rating. I hunt elk a few miles back in the woods and wanted something to help get them out without boning them. We hunt cow elk so 550 is more than enough. The mag hauler has several problems and does not come even close to 550 lbs. When I took the mag hauler out of the box 2 of the clips that hook the canvas carrier to the frame were sewed on wrong so they wouldn't hold tight. I used some tie straps and that seemed to work. After I got our elk I went to the truck and unfolded the carrier and the plastic knobs to tighted the carrier to the full open position broke in my fingers. I took a wrench and just tightned the nuts and went to pick up the elk. We loaded the cow (322 lbs) and started down the trail. the rubber solid tire was too soft and would flatten out. It finally came off the rim. After much work we got it back on and then cut the elk in half (166 lbs) and the tire would still flatten out but it didn't come off the rim again. Next the nut came off the bolt in the handle and I used string on the bolt to keep it from coming out of the handle. After using this hauler on 4 elk this year I can say it is not a 550 lb machine only about 200lbs. max and only if on fairly flat ground. If my dog hadn't eaten the cover because of the elk blood I would return it."

"I purchased the Super Mag Hauler before this year's archery season to haul my son's and my tree stand and gear back to our hunting spot and haul the game out. The hauler performed flawlessly. The stability of the cart made it easy to haul through the palmettos, which is not easy in Florida, and the solid construction handled the weight with no problem."

"Recently purchased prior to fall hunting season. Very pleased wtih outcome. Used it to haul into and out of camp. Easily went over rocks and small logs. Second person was able to assist in getting over larger obstacles. Made work on the back easy in getting spike elk back to camp.
Turn knobs have ability to work loose, just keep an eye on them and keep them tight."

"Excellant for the money as long as you stay on a trail of course. The previous one I had was a backpack style rated at 300lbs and I crushed it. This one seems to be just what I needed. This one is also much easier for one person to use, the smaller ones really need two people."

"i have used this hauler to transport my treestand whitch is located 200 yrds from the roadway by my self i was able to carry everything i needed witch usealy takes two people to do it it folded down in 30 seconds when i was finished i have not had a chance to use it with snow on the ground yet"

"First of all let me say I am disappointed that a couple of weeks after I purchased my mag Hauler Cabelas dropped the price by $50.00. I will be contacting them about that.
Secondly, when trying to assemble the support arms into the fold down handle with the bolts and plastic knobs, I found the holes didn't line up very well nor did the bolts fit the holes very well. I had to force the bolts through the holes with a hammer. Trying to remove them to put the handle into the storage position was a chore. One of the plastic knobs is split open right through to the encapsulated nut. The bolt holes in the support arms that are to be used to secure the handle into the storage position with the bolts and plastic knobs do not line up. They are in fact a half a hole out of alignment.
I also purchased the extra wheel kit. I also found a very bad odor coming from the boxes that the wheels were shipped in. I saw another comment regarding the smell of diesel fuel, however I believe the smell is actually from the tires.
The shippers did a very, very poor job with the handling of my product. The boxes came all beat up and full of holes.
There was a lot of paint damage to the product due to the poor handling practices of the shippers."

"The cart did a great job of hauling a gemsbok out of the field. Definitely will use again. Only problem was the screws that hold it together when unfolded came out while riding around in the back of the pickup. Ended up have to keep screws in my pocket and then unfold the cart and screw together. If they would use nylon nuts it would be much better."

Super Mag Hauler Delivery and Assembly,

"I ordered the Super Mag Hauler in anticipation of my upcoming moose hunt. I have been having nightmares about how I will retrieve a 1,500 pound animal from the forest.
This item ships directly from the factory if you order it online. From the condition of the shipping box, it appeared that the delivery driver just shoved the box out the door of the truck as he drove past without stopping. The box wreaked from what I believe was diesel fuel. I brought it in the house to begin assembly.
I quickly learned that the instructions do not seem to correlate with the assembly of the Super Mag Hauler in any discernable way. I suppose they are just included as additional padding to prevent delivery damage.
By trial and error, I was able to complete the assembly of the Hauler without instructions, in spite of the tipsy feeling I was experiencing from the diesel fumes emitting from the box.
Save for one inexplicable silver curving part, which was not shown in the instructions or in the picture on the box, I got the thing built.
My 7 year old daughter can haul my fat carcass around the yard with ease using this thing. I would recomend it to a friend, but buy it at the store - - don't have it delivered!"

Cart looks capable, but a long Rocky Mt. elk retrieval will be the true test. I've carried many out the hard way. I bought this to extend our collective hunting lives recognizing that some elk we have harvested were in locations where this cart wouldn't go."
