"They really should have included this with the deluxe vault, but I guess if someone was going to mount it into studs against the wall they wouldn't need it. It does the job. I mounted it with 2 ring bolts screwed into 2 studs and looped it through it. You can never be too cautious when it comes to securing your firearm."

"The gun vault cable was a perfect addition to the gun vault. The only bad thing would be 2 months after I finally found a cable in stock and recieved it...my gun vault actually broke. One of the latches broke inside. I need to buy a whole new unit now."

"Seems to work OK. My only concern is the cable is thin and I'm not sure how easy it is to cut. I use it with the Gun Vault in my truck. I'm sure the cable will deter a hit and run thief, but if someone has some time they may be able to cut it."

"This cable installs easily. It is not particulary heavy. You certainly could not break it with your hands, but it would be no match for small bolt cutters. Even so, it will definitely slow down the thief in a hurry or without tools."

"Use this cable only to provide the barest measure of inconvenience to a would-be thief. It's not useful against a willing person, but could be ok if you are just trying to keep honest people honest.
The cable could be cut with any decent pair of pliers or wire cutters.
The better option is to mount the Gun Vault using the heavy mounting screws that come with it."
