"I have used several different elk calls over the last 15 years. Primos' Hoochie Mama is one of the easiest to get a true coe elk sound and is the only one I have seen that mimics 3 different tones."

"This product is easy to use and extremely effective during the rut. If the rut is over then don't expect this product to produce any miracles for you. It got the elk within 60 yards but not close enough for a shot. I was hunting alone so they were expecting to see something and when they didn't they just walked off. It definately brings the elk in but your best bet is to find em when the rut is on and hunt with a buddy. It will bring the elk in."

"I have used the call for several seasons here in Arizona.I have stopped bulls and cows on a dead run.They stop and turn to look if you're still.This opens up at the least a quartering away shot if not a total broadside. I keep one tied to each lower jacket pocket.If you are using both, you can angle and time to make it sound like more than one.This makes the elk most curious about what's going on.Time enough for a well placed shot. When not hunting,it gives time to look,study,and admire these beasts."

"Nothing to blow, nothing to learn...a traditionalist's nightmare and a regular hunter's dream. Cow calls have been proven to be far more useful than bugles at attracting and keeping the attention of nearby bulls and cows alike. This call should be in the pocket of every hunter crazy enough to go after elk in the first place."

Great call but dirt can cause a problem,

"Great call; really gets their attention, especially the cows and the bulls follow the cows. I have several of these calls so I have a spare when one goes whacky. If you use them allot and get them dirty , they stick and don't sound natural. What I had to do in camp was open mine up and take it apart because it was sticking. After applying a little Wesson oil to it and putting it back together, it was good as new. Always carry two, just in case."

"This year I didn't have one but my stepson did. As the elk came by, the elk stopped in their tracks on the first cow call and stood broadside to us. Ya can't ask more than that out of any call, and as a bonus with the same push you get the same sound time after time regardless of temperature, how dry your throat is, or how excited you are. I wish the rest of elk hunting were this fool proof.(I'd be fatter for sure)"

"I have used probably eight different cow calls in the last 20 years of hunting elk and this is with out a dought the easiest one to use I have ever tried.
No gaging on calls or not bitting hard enough to get the right sound. Just push it with your thumb and it will work.
I Put a strap on mine and let it dangle from my pack. It is easy to find and easy to use. no guess work I stopped elk the first time I used it. its a great product."

"I hunted some private land that was next to public lands so there were plenty of hunters around on opening weekend. The elk were moving briskly trying to find a safe place. I stopped two bulls in their tracks at 500 yards with one push on the Hoochie Mama. We were able to stop elk every time with this call."

"This is an excellent call! Far less ineffective calls then using a mouth call. I used this call this season for a rut cow hunt in AZ. I was trying to get to the backside of a water tank about 1 ½ hours before first morning light when I was busted by a lead bull. The bull started to move his herd off but 2 blows by the Hoochie Mama stopped the bull in his tracks using estrus cow setting and almost immediately the cows and the caves in the heard started replying. I had 5 more bulls move into the tank and at least 2 of the bulls had their own herd of cows. I spent over 2 hours taking to the bulls and cows that completely surrounded me. This left me for 1 ½ hours praying for enough light to make a shot. An excellent call for an Outstanding hunting trip"
