The Imperial Plate™ Double has the Sound Plate™, which is set at 30° for cow, calf talk and satellite bull bugles.
The Hyper Plate™ Double has 2 reeds with a Y-cut in the second reed, which is perfect for hyper, Estrus™ cow talk and herd bull bugles. The Sound Plate™ automatically positions the call in your mouth at the right place and angle.

"I have owned (and lost) a few Primos diaphram calls in the past and loved them. This four pack only had one good call in it and another passable one, two didn't work at all. I am not sure if this is an isolated instance or if they are really that inconsistant. I didn't bother with refunds, exchanges etc."

"I took shipment on these calls days before leaving for my Colorado Elk, bow hunt. Calls were easy for me to use and I was able to produce authentic sounding cow/calf calls upon arrival in Colorado. I was able to call in Spike Bull/Cows to bow range and narrowly missed calling in a larger bull through my own inexperience. The only reason I don't give 5 stars for these calls is because I only used the white and red diaphragms. Calls were loud and very easy to mimic cows/calves that came in. Will use these calls in my future Elk hunting pursuits."

"I've used other diaphram elk calls (Larry Jones' Wilderness Productions product and others) and find that these calls are more torture resistant. I just throw these things in my breast pocket while I'm hunting. The Primos calls were far less prone to fraying and, most importantly, the latex stayed taut much better than any of the other ones I've used so your calls stay crisper longer. If you don't buy these then I'd recommend Larry D. Jones' product as a substitute."

"The Primos Elk select diaphram calls are very easy to use and very versatile. They allow for easy modification to fit your mouth and the durability was excellent. This pack covered all of the diaphram calls I needed for my 12 day colorado elk hunt. The only drawback is that they could have provided a container that all of the calls would have fit in for storage."
