Heavy-Duty Rope Hoist, Gambrel and 4-Wheel Hoist

The block-and-tackle mechanism on the Heavy-Duty Poly Rope Hoist, made of smooth-operating nylon rollers and rustproof cadmium-plated housings, minimizes the work involved in hoisting big game for cleaning, cooling, etc. Also great for fishing, camping and boating. Strong polypropylene rope is rot- and mildew-resistant. Double-grip safety hooks make it easy to attach and detach. Heavy-duty welded rings included for secure tie-on. Completely assembled and ready to use. Gambrel is constructed of solid steel construction for strength and durability. Gambrel available separately or as a combo with the heavy-duty hoist. The optional compact 4-Wheel Hoist provides all the pulling power necessary to lift any deer, elk or just about any other game animal for field dressing or butchering. The heavy-duty, power-multiplying wheels do the work when you pull on the heavy-duty, non-fraying rope that comes with the hoist. "The mechanical advantage of this 4 wheel hoist is great. Even after having a back fusion, I could easily lifted my buck this bow season by myself. The one feature that I didn't care for was the spring loaded closer on the hooks. I removed them."

"I recently had minor arm surgery and am not allowed to lift more than 15 pounds with my arm. Having taken a dear last week in archery I used your rope hoist to raise it on the gambil to skin it out. WOW was it ever easy to lift!!!! I would recomend it to any one."

"I built a 12 1/2 Foot Rowing Skiff "For Small Pond Fishing" several years ago and wanted to store it in an "Overhead" space in the barn. Already having one Rope Pully I notted this product. I can now raise the boat up out of the way without any problem.
The Boat weight is appx 165 lbs., hung from Stern and Bow."

"When I needed a rope hoist, I looked at the Cabella catalog, found an item I thought would work, ordered it, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it would work perfectly in hoisting a heavy cellar door, safely and with less effort than would otherwise be required. "I had an old 2 wheel hoist that I used deer hunting when I was younger. Old age crept in and I needed more mechanical assistance. This worked great. The nice thing about it is I can use it on heavy items in the garage while waiting for next year's hunting season."

"The gambrel and pully came sepratly packaged, obviously not intended to be used together. Also the hooks on the pully don't even fit the gambrel. Nylon rope is awful, I had to replace it. Bolts on the pully were loose. I have NEVER complained about the quality of a Cabelas product! Truly dissapointed."

"I purchased the heavy duty pully and gambrel. I hoist a 5 pointer up weighing about 135-140 lbs. the other day and it was like there wasn't anything on it. It hoisted with no problems. An even larger deer will not be a problem at all. I also bought the smaller one for a hanging feeder and it too works excellent. Hoist a 6 gallon feeder full of corn like nothing."

Little Bucks for our 2 BUCKS, October 13, 2008

"One of the reasons we moved to the Oregon High Desert in 2006, was for the Hunting. We had great success, bagging our Bucks, but hoisting their carcasses in the garage/shop rafters was not a task we looked forward to.. So this year (2008) we perused our Cabela's catalog, & we decided on purchasing the Heavy-Duty Rope Hoist, Gambrel & 4-Wheel Hoist. Now mind you in this day & age of Internet Comparison Shopping, I went on-line & compared equipment & prices. I am pleased to say that it didn't matter how much I read or compared, no one had a better description & price for my Bucks!! We have a Cabela's now in Boise, but that is 70 miles from us, yeh, I miss that store, but who can afford the gas, Thank God for Cabela's Internet Shopping!! Bing, Bang, Boom, 3 days later, the Hoist was here, and by Oct 6, it worked like a charm, for this 52 year old lady! I was able to skin my Buck with the greatest of ease!! And my husband's Buck was a bit bigger than mine, and again unloading it from the truck to skin it & then loading it back in the truck to go to the butcher, was a piece of cake!! It might look like a light weight, but it has soo much power!! Thank you Cabela's for another wonderful product!"
