Great for big leaks,

"This is a great product. I bought second hand waders, which I found a huge hole in the rubber part of the boot. The adhesive worked great. Takes some time to dry though (up to 8 hour dry time) Which isn't good for quick fixes. But once dried, the patch stays on. I work in the field (and by no means nice to my waders by what I walk through) and the patch has yet to fall off or loosen (after 3 months of straight use). Totally worth the investment and saves buying a new pair of waders."

Repaired my breathable wader seams,

"I used Aquaseal to repair leaks in the seam of my breathable waders where they meet the neoprene and rubber boot. I used the method of turning the boot inside out and with a rubber glove applied a layer of aquaseal around the seams. Allowed to dry 24hrs before using. Not a leak! But be careful not to allow the glued surfaces to get together or they will get stuck together. Also the glued seams make it a little harder to slide your foot into the boot. All in all a good product for this purpose."

"Aqua seal really works on most flexible plastics especially neoprene, like waders or dog float coats. The only problem with it is, that even if you keep it in the freezer, which does help, it begins to set up after the tube is opened."

"I have tried several other adhesives to combat the leaky valves in my kite bladders (kiteboarding). Aqua Seal stands up to saltwater and most important, heat. Other glues just melt away on a hot day."

Good Stuff For Sealing Leaking Waders,

"I used AquaSeal to repair several pin-holes in breathable waders. Just follow the directions and use rubbing alcohol to find the leak, then apply the AquaSeal and let dry - AquaSeal fixed every leak with only a single application. I even used it to patch a triangular tear using a piece of patching material - again, sealed with a single application.
I only gave the product 4 stars because it did not work with a single application on a leaking seam. It took several applications to seal the seam leak. Perhaps the leak was further along the seam and the water migrated to where it came through, but I had to apply several coats on the seam and spread it almost 1/2 " on either side of the seam. In all fairness, it did eventually work to seal the seam leak."

Works But Only a Few Times per Tube,

"I used this to repair several different pairs of boots that tire patches, GOOP Plumbers Cement and Gorilla Glue didn't work on. After one or two uses, you need two pairs of pliers to get the cap off the tube and after a few more uses the tube plugs up. I guess that is why the tubes are small."

"I had a couple of pin hole leaks on my waders. I turned them inside out and filled them with water. Marked the areas that were leaking, dumped the water out and let them dry. Used this stuff on the areas marked and no more leaks.
Much cheaper than new waders."

"Chipmunks ate a hole in my neoprene waders about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Cut a patch out of some worn out waterproof neoprene gloves. Glued the patch over the hole, put a heavy weight on it over night. Used them in the morning setting out my decoys. Not a leak to be felt. Worked so well I touched up some other areas that looked bad. Thanks"

"During the 2007 steelhead season my cabelas waders developed a slow leak on the right foot. Very next trip the left foot started leaking, the culprit was craking along the tread and boot seam. Aquaseled this seam and dry warm feet so far into november of 2008. Not to bad considering this pair of boots have fished the tributaries of lake erie and lake ontario for the past ten years. Love this stuff!But i will purchase another pair of cabelas waders before next season they are the best"

"I was referred to this product by a friend. It worked good for him but did not work at all for me on my neoprene duck hunting weighters. I would have been better off spending the money on several tubes of caulk!"
