"The ankle strap is a good feature and works suprisingly well. This is the only positive feature of these boots. I used them on an Alaska bear hunt & was extremely disappointed. The material does not breathe at all. My legs & feet were constantly wet (soaking wet) whenever I walked long distances. This produced blisters and my lower body was always cold & damp due to the wetness. I have never owned a boot that was so poorly designed."

"I am in England and have been looking for waders like the Bog-Buster. In the UK I couldn't find anything; but hey, on the web I found these! The price in US$ is fantastic value, the quality of the manufacture is excellent along with the design concept. What I like the most is I have quiet large calfs and thighs and with neoprene coming up from the shoe it widens immediately to accommodate my size. All in all an excellent product that should be marketed in the UK.

"Very comfortable boot, so lightweight. I use these for clam digging, and it feels like I'm wearing slippers. I'm located in the North East and use the 1000g waders in the winter, but now with the weather letting up a little these are the perfect weight. Only problem is very little ankle support compared to standard hip boots, resulting in easy ankle rolls. I don't do a lot of walking, so not much of an issue."

"I found the boots to be comfortable, light, waterproof, and easy to get on and off. They are not durable, however. The neoprene is thin, and it is easily torn by large thorns such as those found on saw palmetto palms or other strong, rigid, thorny vines. If they are only going to be used in reedy areas for waterfowl hunting, they should be alright, but if they are going to be used for woods/swamp hunting where you may be going through thick cover, I wouldn't recommend them."

"Bought the waders for my younger for his Birthday. My Brother told me what he wanted and I gave the Cabela's catalog to my husband and he picked out these! When they arrived at home, I had my husband look at them to make sure they were good. He tried them on and took them with him to Canada the next day goose hunting. He didn't wear them on that trip, though. His younger Sister has his name for Christmas, so I told her to buy my husband these waders!!! When my Brother opened them, he was VERY pleased cause they were not made out of rubber - I guess after a few years the rubber ones cracks, etc."

"Very comfortable, lite weight, very quiet to walk in, My only problem is that they don't come in a wide size, These boots are not insulated, I have wide feet so adding a heavy pair of wool socks was not possible, I even bought one size larger. I wore these seven days while moose hunting, they worked great, we had unseasonably warm weather so keeping my feet warm was not much problem, If the weather would have been like a normal year I would have been in trouble. These boots will not come off your feet until you pop the buckle."

"I just got back from 14 days of hunting moose in Alaska. While they are light and keep water out, they also make you sweat and provide NO ankle support what so ever. While most of moose country is semi-flat, just the highs and lows of bogs will cause your foot to slide inside the boot. You can actually watch the boot stretch on the outside when going down hill. The velcro straps are good for about 5 days. While they are still holding, the tondra and mud clog the loops. They were great back at camp to wear as slippers. I would recommend buying a set of gortex chest waders (with no boot) and good hiking boots from Cabelas. When it is not raining (it rained 8 out of 10 days afield) the added protection of the chest wader will allow you to set on the wet tundra without needing something to set on or rain gear. Plus the breathability of Gortex when covering large tracks of ground to prevent you from becomming soaked inside from sweating is priceless. Even though the temperature did not get very cold, the boots did a great job of conducting the cold right to your feet."

"I bought these boots to use as we were filming caribou hunts in Alaska and knew that we'd be in bogs and crossing rivers at times. The good qualities are they are very lightweight, and seem to be well made. The bad qualities are that they ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO ANKLE SUPPORT. I mean none! Basically, the "boot" portion is very limpy, flex type rubber and the sole is not that thick. You literally feel every rock. In fact, I formed very nasty blisters because they move around on your foot so much.
If you are going to be duck hunting or having to do very little walking, I think they'd be just fine. If you plan to do any walking, I'd run to another boot. Your ankle will roll over with very little effort. Can't see myself using these things again other than in a duck hunting situation where I'm bound to a blind."

"I have a narrow foot and had to wear too many pairs of socks in standard one size fits all (wide) waders to keep my feet snug. These waders are the ultimate answer. "even though i enjoyed the lighter wieght feel to the waders i was let down quickly on my Alaskan hunting trip. The neoprene waders found a small twig and poked a hole on the second day of a 10 day moose hunt. Crossing the river became impossible and limited my adventure. If they came with a repair kit would have been nice."

"I've used these hip boot style boots only twice. They are good but the walk is a bit soft (unsupported) and the ankle grab not that well designed. It works, i.e. keeps the boot on your feet in the muck that wants to pull it off, but, my complaint is: to make it grab your ankle, it folds the boot over on itself and that makes for an slightly uncomfortable fit, not a big bother, but not slick. Also, once the velcro adjusable strap gets muddy, forget adjusting, so get it right and walk around to test and adjust before you enter the bog.
Like I said, it works but the design could be inproved in my opinion."
