"While wearing waders for seven days in Alaska on a Brown Bear hunt I was pleased with the performance of the bog busters. Both guides ended up puncturing holes in their waders while I ended up with a couple of scrapes. The velcro straps on the back side could use more gripping force though."

"These are the most comfortable long wearing boot I have worn. We use them on the small mountains streams around beaver ponds and do not about lose them in the mud like the other waders I have worn. I would strongly recommend these boots."

"Used these hip boots to walk five miles a day hunting grizzley on the knee deep tundra and up streams in the Alutian Islands, Alaska. Average temperature about 32 degrees. Wore your over the knee socks and a thin ski boot liner sock with them and my feet never got cold. The ankle fit buckles are great and kept my feet solidly in the boot at all times. Great product!"

"I have a very narrow foot (14AA) and could never find any waders that would fit my feet. The adjustable ankle straps on these were able to snug up to my feet enough to make them extremely comfortable. I purchased a pair before a trip to Alaska in 2007 for caribou, and I'm recommending them to my buddies that are coming with me this year. They were comfortable to wear all day and kept me dry. Good wool socks underneith are a must. They are lighter than my regular hunting boots which certainly helped when walking across the tundra."

"Utilized these on a Moose hunt in Alaska, while they are not perfect they did perform adequately. The material is tough and the ankle straps (though they fill with mud a bit and are a little hard to keep clean) do work. The soles grip well even in the Alaskan river mud. If your plan is to utilize them day after day in rainy conditions ensure you have an alternate set or a good drier, they don't dry easily."

"I purchased these before a float hunt in Alaska. Since most time was spent around water I thought these would work well. The ankle fit is good when you need to do any walking over muskeg then dry land. This boot is comfortable and easy to remove or get on. The problem happens when it should prove its best. Long periods in cold water or long periods in a raft with feet on the floor of the raft. These do not do such a good job of keeping your feet warm. Well lets call it, my feet were ice cubes. Had to stop several times and build a fire to warm my feet, when skinning a moose that dropped in the water the last thing you want to do is stop and build fires to warm your feet. If you are going to hunt Alaska buy the rubber with thinsulate, save yourself some trouble. This set of waders were not made for Alaska or long periods in the water."

"I am reallly enjoying my new Waders.I especially like the quick adjustment features to insure a snug grip around your ankle & foot.They are easy to get into and to take off. As far as that goes I have decided that they are so comfortable I just put them on at home, then get in the truck and go fishing ! "I like that the boot stretches to fit over my calf, which most hip boots don't fit. Down side since they are neoprene you can't fold them down to walk around on dry ground when you don't need them all the way up. The neoprene takes longer to dry on the outside then traditional hip boots. I've had mine for a couple years now and they work pretty good. Last year I got into some almost knee deep mud with a lot of suction, the velcro got covered in mud and quit sticking. So making it out of the muck with one boot no longer ankle fit was a major pain."

"These boots will last for several field seasons - even in the arctic over frost-shattered shale, pokey willow branches, boreal forest duck surveys, and boot sucking frost boils. The same pair lasted me 4 years of seasonal field work before I'd worn all the tread off the bottom of the soles and had to get a new pair. I once had to make a repair in the leg and it was super easy since neoprene is easily fixable and the fix held! They can be a bit warm, but in the cool arctic summers that's a bonus. I would not trade my bog busters for any other hipwader - they are so comfortable and they've never given me blisters."
