The key to these versatile hippers is our revolutionary three-way, Velcro®-adjustable straps that can be loosened for walking or unfastened when you want to pull them off at the end of the day. But when the mud starts tugging at them, all you need to do is cinch the nylon web strap tight for a snug, secure fit. By cutting the traditional boot foot down to an ankle-high design and using neoprene for the uppers, we were able to significantly reduce the weight compared to old-fashioned rubber hippers. In fact, at less than 5 lbs. per pair, they're lighter than your favorite hunting boots. Because the neoprene extends all the way inside the hand-laid rubber boots like a pair of stockingfoot waders, they retain more warmth, ensure 100% waterproof protection and surround your feet in cushioning support.
