Good sock - feels great but quality is questionabl,March 15, 2010
By KMillerPSUfrom Flemington, NJ
"I bought 3 pairs of these since I go through socks quickly and I believe these have a lifetime warranty (free exchange even though I'm not sure who carries in their old socks?). I hiked with these in Cabelas pack-hiking boots and they were great to hike in - my feet didn't feel damp even though my socks were from perspiration. I didn't get any blisters. After the first washing it looks like some of the loops (the way the sock is sewn) are pulling out. I don't know if they were washed with something velcro but that is what they look like. I had another sock catch a boot eyehook for laces and it tore a hole in them. This rip may have happened to any sock so I am not sure it was the quaility of the sock even though it seemed to happen somewhat easily. I have had a pair of smart-wool socks for 9 years and they haven't ripped or worn out yet. It is early but I will see how these Cabela socks hold up. They felt great but if they don't last for a couple of years I will definitely be carrying in my old socks for new ones. The lifetime warranty is the only reason these have 4 stars instead of 3."

Great Pair Of Liner Socks,January 25, 2010
By ChuckAOnefrom Maryland
"I bought two pairs of these sock liners to try them out for a test run. While out in the woods in the snow and ice , hunting all day, they kept my feet dry and warm with a pair of heavy socks over them. These sock liners also gave me great support and made me feel like i was walking on air.
My wife is on her feet all day at work so i got her to try a pair of these and then i had to order a few more pairs."

Liner Sock,November 30, 2009
By Deanmfrom Vinton Virginia
"I really like the Cabelas Liner sock. The Ultimax 17" sock helps protect your feet and is a really good wicking layer. I use a wool blend Cabelas sock with the liner sock and this will keep my feet in good shape all day long. The additional height helps with the taller hunting boots that I prefer(12" to 16" types) The liner works with warm to cold temperatures. Cold weather add heavier wool socks and with warm temperatures use a lighter hiking sock. Good Product that I recommend."

Cabela's Liner Socks,September 10, 2009
By Longshot50from Emmett, Idaho
"These liner socks are great for layering. I have had several pair for years now and they wear like iron under a wool hiking sock. They wick away moisture from the skin good enough to keep feet comfortable all day while hiking. I'll keep using them as long as they are available. Good value, they work!"

"Although I haven't used these liners yet for their main purpose, flyfishing in cold weather, I have tried them out hiking and fishing here in AK this summer and they are very comfortable and served their purpose well. I look forward to the real test here in another 6 weeks."

By Ron2565from New England
"I wear these under cabela's wool boot sock and so far they work great. My feet stay warm and they do not sweat or get that clammy feel. I mostly wear them in a pair of bogs insulated rubber boots. The temperture has usually been in the 10-25 degree range"

Tough as the Alaska winters!,January 9, 2009
By matoakfrom Anchorage, Alaska
"I have several pair and wear them daily under a pair of Cabela's Ingenius socks. I have had DVT and am on Coumadin. Wearing the knee high sock liner keeps my legs from swelling. They are very comfortable and do not slide down like other knee high socks I have tried. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed."

Great Sock liners!,December 24, 2008
By Danny876
"I got these sock liners to wear doing barn chores and riding during the winter. They are great! Comfortable next to my skin, keep my feet dry if they perspire, and keep my feet warm through cold and wet for hours on end. I love the longer over the calf length, which I had trouble finding. They work great under my itchy wool socks without adding bulk. Love them!"

How I care for my feet,December 22, 2008
By notsostupidafterallfrom Utah
"I have been a professional outfitter and guide for many years in several Rocky Mountain states. I spend a lot of time walking and riding horses in rough country. I have mild diabetes. That leads to tender, cold feet. So taking care of my feet is not a hobby, it is a MUST. This is how I take care of my feet all year round. (I think I have it down to a science, after long trial and error).
I wear Cabela's Ultimax® 17" Liner Socks (over the calf) all year round, no matter what boot/sock I am wearing.
I either wear Cabela's Outfitter Series Medium Weight socks or Cabela's Outfitter Series Heavyweight Socks based on the temperature. The medium weight are just fine in warm weather, give me the cushion and wicking I need, and work well when it cools off a little, or my feet get wet.
I wear White's Packer when from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This are great boots for horsemen in rough country. Worth every penny.
I wear Schnee’s 16 Inch Hunter II when it starts to cool off or when I know it is going to be real wet. I wear the bubble sole because of the traction, but do worry about how quickly I can get my feet out of the stirrups if a “rodeo” happens. I am very careful about this.
I wear Cabela's Glacier Point Pac Boot when the weather gets cold. Usually move up to the heavier socks and liner. I need oversized stirrups for these boots. I like the fact that these boots are warm, whether I am active or not and designed to have “built-in gators” so my pant legs do not get wet when in snow.
I have two boots that I really like for EZ on – EZ off, whether in camp, or doing chores around the place or running errands. They are Cabela's Insulated 10" Zip Pull-On Boots and/or Schnee’s Montana II T/T, which are an above-the-ankle leather/rubber boot with Velcro flaps.
I don’t know if this info will work for anyone else, but it works for me."
