Cabela's Over-The-Calf Coolmax® Liner Socks

The Over-the-calf CoolMax? Liner Sock is made of special four-channel dacron polyester liner has 20% more surface area than ordinary fiber, enabling it to transport moisture away from the skin quicker so it can evaporate without absorbing liquids into the fiber itself. Over-the-Calf/2 pair. Sizes: M(5 to 8-1/2), L(9-12), XL(13-15). Color: White. Buy two or more and save $.50 each. Approved for Cabela's waterproof, breathable footwear.

"I like the over the calf coverage. These liner socks combined with a good boot sock and my feet do not get cold and the long johns do not have a chance of riding up your leg."

"I don't hike or hunt without these anymore - wearing them under regular boot socks makes the feet happy! I've had several pairs for 5+ years now and haven't had any issues with seams fraying, elastic bad, etc."

"Like them cause they're tall. Others usually slip down and become uncomfortable. Very nice with tall boots. Can wear them even with shorter outer socks cause they stay up.

"These liner socks were excellent. They worked very well to wick moisture away from my feet. In addition, they were comfortable and prevented blisters during long, wet days pursuing elk during Western Washington rifle elk season. I gave a couple of pairs to my hunting partner who praised them as well. The only down-side (and the reason for a 4 out of 5 star rating) is that they are not very durable and started getting holes in the toes after only a couple of wearings."

"I buy these and the mid-calf liners pretty regularly to wear with motorcycle boots. They wash/dry quickly and keep my feet comfortable with padded socks in colder weather and by themselves in hot weather. Only wish they came in black or dark grey since some of my boots lend them color."

"I purchaced these socks to wear mith my motor cycle street boots. they work well are comfortable and don't fall down. I wore them with no outer sock on a 1000 mi trip and they worked well. I ordered a size XL for my size 11 foot and they fit good. I like that you get two pair for the price. I don't like the fact that they are only in white, permanently dirty looking after the first day. I would buy more."

"The overall quality of the socks are in line with what is Cabela's high standards,they stay high on leg and don't bunch down,the only problem I experienced was they where too tight when adding my Cabela's Deluxe Cold-Weather Socks over them restricting movement in boots resulting in cold feet."

"My feet would get damp and then cold even setting in a warm room. Wearing the Coolmax under a heavy sock, my feet now stay warm inside and outside in colder weather than I could have taken wearing just a heavy sock.

A thread is startng to come loose in the elastic top after just a few washings."

"This is the worst item I have ever purchased from Cabelas. This pair of socks would not even get close to fitting me. They are made very small. I wear a size 13 and these socks would barely fit my fathers foot and it is a size 9."

Coolmax saves the day!! New use for liner socks..., August 5, 2007

"I am recovering from surgery for a broken ankle and in a "to the knee" CAM Boot/aircast which is rather uncomfortable and causes lots of perspiration...especially since it is hot summertime!!! The cast came with a heavy, all cotton terrycloth sock that would be soaking wet in what seemed only a matter of minutes. UGH!!!!

As a Cabela's catalog center representative I knew about the great moisture wicking properties of these Coolmax Liner Socks and so I had my husband take me to our nearest Cabela's store ASAP. I purchased several pair and now I can change the sock lining my cast several times a day. After just washing them out in the bathroom sink easily by hand these Coolmax socks dry in a very short time. I am sure this will keep my foot healthier and help the incisions heal much quicker.

I just wanted to share this hint for anyone who may find themself in the same position of being in an uncomfortable cast or brace. Coolmax liner socks aren't just for hiking and hunting boots!!!"

"When I run my coonhounds at night I do a lot of walking. A requirement when hunting at night in cold weather is a pair of comfortable boots and a good quality pair of socks. I've found the best socks for my use when hunting is the Cabela's Over-the-Calf Coolmax Liner Socks. I just wear them under a my boot socks and they do the job. They keep the warmth in and the moisture out which I've found is a common problem with most boot socks. They are also comfortable, stay up and give support to your ankles and calves while walking. Wish I had found this great item from Cabela's a long time ago. Thanks."

"The large over the calf sock liner is ample in length and would fit up to a size 10 shoe size. I have ordered this type of sock in the past and they lasted with everyday use about 3 years. I use them as an undersock liner in the fall and winter,and in the spring and summer as a daily work sock. Excellent value."
