Battery Powered Socks,
November 2, 2009
By Speedy1975
from Extreme Western Minnesota
|
"I read the instructions put the correct size batteries in the pocket they got warm in the toe area, so I put them on and ventured out to cut wood on a very cool day. The socks did not heat up as advertised and since they have been worn YOU CANNOT RETURN THEM. I have tried different batteries and did my best to check the connections but the still do not heat as advertised."

Worked great,

By solander

"Wore mine for the first time yesterday steelheading and they work great. The heat is subtle; You don't think they're working until you realize your toes didn't freeze like they usually do. I consider 'em essential gear now."

These socks work very well.,
January 19, 2009
By HappyFeet32
|
"These socks work wonderfully and are relatively easy to put on and use. They are not supposed to be warm. Says that on the package. If they did then your feet would sweat and you do not want that. They provide just enough heat to keep your feet from being cold. That is all they are supposed to do. If you want hot feet, then stay at home in front of a heater."

Battery Heated Wader Socks,
March 10, 2008
By SanJuanita
from Corrales, NM
|
"Will never again fish without these socks. Just enough heat to keep my feet comfortable. In the past, I have tried using the "hot hands" pouches but without the circulation of air, they soon would stop working. The only drawback is that the batteries are only good for just about 8-10 hours. Replacing the batteries every use soon can up the cost of the socks. Just remember to unsnap the battery pouch when you are not in the water. Now I can concentrate on my fishing and not my freezing feet!"

Too cool for winter,
February 20, 2008
By Anonymous
from WA
|
"Did not like the socks. They take too much time and work to put together. The batteries pouch is a nightmare to work with when you have wat's on. Need something that works well when doing river fishing. Need to find a way to that is a easy place to put the control box and a way to shut it off when needed. Doe's not get hot enough for me. (At 47 years and at a temp of 32 deg"0"

Battery Heated Wader Socks,

By auggieny

"I am very disappointed with the battery operated socks. First of all they do not get very warm and the wire rubbed up against my ankle making it very uncomfortable. As I was fishing a distance from my vehicle I had to deal with the rubbing."

Not all they're cracked up to be,
February 7, 2008
By RalphII
from California
|
"Just took the chill off somewhat, not really all that warm, and this was in only 40 degree weather. I hesitate to see what happens in the snow. Didn't particularly like the wires in the sock either--isn't there some other way to do this? I wouldn't want to walk very far in them--best for stationary situations."
