"Great Product! They keep my feet toasty warm! Easy to plug and unplug! The size D batteries weren't heavy on my leg like I thought they would be."

Faulty design,
July 7, 2009
By Varistor
|
"The product is not designed correctly. The battery holder is incorrectly sized resulting in faulty electrical contact – this results in no heat. I solved the problem by placing a wad of tin foil about ¾” thick in the holder and then added the battery. The sock then produced heat one could easily feel with your hand and the toes."

very good,
March 25, 2009

"I love my heated socks, however they are not really intended for the use for which I purchased them - skiing. They certainly did help keep my toes warmer, but they are a little to thick for ski boots. They also moved around a little bit under my toes so I had to take the boots off and adjust them a few times. At least I tried them. I didn't want to ruin my comfy ski boots by installing heaters and this was a much less costly option to try.
I do love them for spending time outside walking my dog in the snow with my winter shoes or boots. My toes were never cold even after 1+ hours. You just need to make sure that when you put the battery into the pouch, the cap inside the pouch actually makes a connection with the battery, otherwise they don't work. This did happen twice, and I was thinking maybe the side snap on the battery pouch should be down a little lower, making it tighter for a more secure connection. I will definitely buy them again when necessary. Now all I need is the gloves!"

Should have listened,
March 24, 2009
By sunchaser123

"Read the comments before buying these socks but decided to try them anyway even though many poor reviews. The batteries were very bulkey (also were not included) and socks kept falling down and they never warmed up for me. Also tells you to disconnect battery periodically to get them to warm up but this doesn't work either."

Keeps them tootsies warm!,
February 17, 2009
By MaryB2

"Overall I like these and they enable me to go outside when I couldn't otherwise. I have been using another brand for several years so I speak from experience.
They do take awhile to warm up. I don't notice the wire under my toes when I'm walking so don't worry about it. They run large and a tighter fit would be preferred. I am a women and must order a men's small which is still too wide for me so a women's fit would be preferred. Also, I wish they would make these with a lighter battery that is more accessible to unplug when the toes get too hot."

Battery Heated Boot Socks,
February 17, 2009
By pelber
from Sewickley, PA
|
"A friend told me about the socks, her husband uses them for hunting and said they were the best. So I bought a pair for my frined who works in an unheated office 12 hours a day, his hands and feet are always cold and numb, this would make his back ache. After i gave him the socks, his health and mood improved greatly. The socks kept his feet warm all day. This is one of the best investments that I had made in years. Anyone I know who has purchased the socks were all totally pleased with them!

Fell apart,
February 3, 2009
By stillcoldfeet1

"The "male" part of the snap that holds the battery in the battery holder fell apart emmediately, the job of riveting the snap to the holder was poorly done, the rivet was clearly deformed. I had to rework the rivet myself, had to make a special tool."
