"Nice tubes with great fit and finish, pattern as advertised with steel and heavy shot in my gun, and seem to shoot almost anything well. I would buy these at any price, it works for me that it happens to be half that of most tubes. These are a great product."

"I am extremely happy with Carlson choke tubes. For the money you cant get anything better. Why spend a hundred dollars for one when you can get the same performence with a Carlson for a fraction of the cost. I would recommend them to anyone who wants performence at an affordable price."

"Jan 21 2009. I can only base this on my own experience, and this may be an exception. I got a choke tube in November -- a Carlson Full Choke .700 extended range for all types of shot, including steel. We used it on several sea duck hunts and it worked great.....until it split lengthwise nearly 3/4 of its length. Manufacturing defect? It is being replaced at no charge, but I would expect it to hold up under normal use beter than this. We had only fired 100 rounds or less of factory loaded steel shot, mostly 2 3/4 or 3 inch #4s. We will try the replacement and see how that holds up."

"Listen i have been duck hunting for years, and i will lay it down simple. I simple crippled less ducks, hit way more, and improved my shot 10 fold. This choke tube is so worth the money. I used it in my benelli and wow let me tell you. I also own a kicks choke and it is great as well but the Carlsons choke is a fraction of the price for the same consistency. HUNTERS BUY THIS CHOKE TUBE IF YOU FEEL LIKE BRINGING THOSE DUCKS AND GEESE DOWN!"

"I bought two of the extended range chokes (full) for pass shooting out of my Beretta 686 Sporting o/u. I was shooting Federal Speed Shok 3" 1-1/8oz BB loads at 1550 fps and couldn't get a decent pattern. I also notice that the hulls were cracking at the crimp.
I went back and re-read the instructions and found you can't shoot anything faster than 1450 fps out of the extended range chokes (user error). I went out and bought some Federal Speed Shok 3" 1-1/4oz BB loads that shoot at 1400 fps and saw a dramatic difference and excellent patterning.
I bought the mid-range (modified) chokes two weeks later and am absolutely pleased with the results."

Excellent w/ Benelli Super Nova,

"I bought both the Long and Mid range Carlson's Choke Tubes for Steel for my Benelli Super Nova, and I gotta say, they did the trick. My first time out with them I killed 4 ducks. 3 of them stone-dead after one shot. The second time out, I managed 3 ducks. One of them was a beautiful drake Goldeneye. Enough of the hunting stories- these chokes work very well out of my gun. I was also able to clean up on clays with them as well. Very tight and accurate patterning. I would definitely recommend them. The price is reasonable too. For the price of what I would have paid for one of another brand, I got two of these.
PS- I shoot Federal 3 inch steel #2s."
