Old 700 with new stock,

"I wanted to upgrade an old model SBS ADL 700 30-06 with a new stock so I added the new 22-7880 Remington 700 XCR Rifle Stock LA CAMO. I also added the Kwik Klip conversion and Nikon Scope. The new stock fitted well with no hic-ups along with the other additions. I ended up with a fairly slick, light weight rifle.

"Great looking, very light weight. Cut almost 1lb. 6oz. off total gun weight. Installation was very easy and the fit was perfect. Also installed the clip kit conversion, and the kit fit the new stock perfect. Great way to upgrade older remington rifles. Highly recommend."

"The stock looks great and is much lighter than the original Ryonite material. It was fairly easy to install, and fit very well. I can't wait until it is warm enough to shoot to see if accuracy has improved!"

"Thanx to Cabelas for offering such a service for its customers to allow us to rate the products they sell.
The Remington XCR was very simple to install, and it fits like a glove.
In a matter of 10 minutes I had the old off, and the new one on. The finish, and the unique forehand and pistol grip offers a custom look for $$ less.
This rifle is an old 700 BDL, in a 7mm Remington Mag.
The stock that was on it was an older composite that for some reason would never shoot a group.
I glass bed it several times and still it would not shoot. Finally I gave up and stuck it in the safe.
After the new XCR was installed, i'm happy to report its three shot group was about an inch.
I'm using this rifle for whitetails this year.
I would highly recommend it."

"The XCR was an excellent choice for my 6mm Remington BDL
This stock has excellent grip and although lightweight, it stills
retained that "solid gun" feel. It not only bolted right in it gave my long range rifle a "sniper" look. When you consider the cost of a recoil pad, durability, new strap eyelets and a renewed look to your rifle you simply can't go wrong. I gave it five stars for it's quality of product and another five for letting me fall in love with my old friend again."

"This is a beautiful stock, much better than the factory stock on my rifle. However I sent it back due to the fact that it was suppose to be a "drop in" type of installation and I would have had to do considerable filing / fitting aroung the trigger guard & rear tang area of the stock. In my opinion this stock should be fitted by a competent gunsmith. This should be stated in the catalog & I would not have bothered ordering it."

"The XCR rifle stock performed flawlesly on my 300 win mag.I used my gun on three mule deer hunts in October and the results were extraordinary, I harvested a 27" 7X6 in Wyoming, an 32" 6X5 in Colorado and a 30" palmated buck in Utah that will make the B&C min @ 195 net. I had a unbelievable year thanks in part to my new Remington XCR rifle stock."
