870 Camo Stock,November 21, 2009
By Rammer611
"I was impressed with the ease of installation... I am definitely not a gun smith, but with a couple basic tools I was able to change out my old stock.
Good value for the $, could use some finishing to make it fit perfect. I also like the camo and how it made the gun appear."

"The stock did not fit my 11/87 very well and it felt more like a toy than a gun stock. I returned it and purchsed another makes 11/87 synthetic stock . I am glad I did.."

Remington synthetic shotgun stock,June 22, 2009
By trudogfrom Canyon, Texas
"Really nice replacement stock for my old 1100. The forend goes on without a hitch, however for a premium fit, the buttstock need minor fitting to the reciever. I'm a gunsmith so it was no problem for me. Just a little patterning with some layout dye and relieving a small amount of material makes a really nice fit. (I was even able to use this to create a small amount of drop at the heel which I need in on this gun). This is much preferred to having a loose fit on the buttstock. Although the recoil pad was already close, I made it fit closer and the result was a very nice set of replacement components for this shotgun. I would highly recommend this product."

good enough,June 10, 2008
By gunliberalfrom Port Townsend, WA
"As another reviewer noted, the stock doesn't fit flush to the rear end of the receiver--there's a gap of maybe 1/16". This doesn't seem to affect the function if you get the stock screwed on really tight. However, it doesn't look very professional. A clever person with some free time could find a way to make it fit better. The mossy oak pattern doesn't catch the eye, even on a very contrasting surface, so that's a plus. I did find some white spots in the checkering that were not painted; I colored these in with a sharpie. The shape of the stock and forend seem to be identical to the wooden factory versions, with only a minor variation in the checkering. They do have a "plasticky" feel that the old-fashioned part of me doesn't like. But they seem sturdy, and the camouflage certainly works well. Without exactly the right tools, installing the stock was rather annoying. However, that must be a problem with all 870 stocks, not just this one."

Not a bad product but...,May 28, 2008

"I like the camo and fitment of the parts. A minor tweak was needed for the fore-end to get to nut to fit in. I was expecting more of a weight savings. All-in-all a good product. John"

"Was very easy to install. Made the shotgun feel lighter than with the wood stock. It changed the look and feel of the shotgun better than with the wood stock that I had on it."

Remington Synthetic Shotgun Stock and Forend - Mos,November 12, 2007
By Anonymousfrom Adirondack Mtns., Upstate New York.
"The stocks are of very high quality. I was genuinely impressed with the consistency of the pattern and the knurling, which very closely matches that of the original walnut stocks that came with my ca. 1995, 11-87 Special Purpose semi-auto shotgun. The replacment of my original walnut stocks would have cost me over $300.00. For under $100.00, I accomplished all I needed to and more. The only thing that I had to do, was lightly sand the rear stock where it entered the receiver so as to eliminate a 3/16 inch space between the stock and the receiver and allow the stock to mount flush with the receiver. (12 years later you can't expect it to be perfect). This application not only enhanced the asthetics of the firearm, it also lightened up the gun by about 3 lbs., which I'm very pleased with, and I don't have to spend money on camo products for the gun. Overall, I definitely recommend this after market product. Thank you for the opportunity to honestly review this product."

Camo Synthetic Stock & Forend,May 2, 2007
By Anonymousfrom Upstate New York
"Taking a cue from my bow hunting experience, I would often use camo tape on my firearms to conceal them and eliminate glare but it was messy. So as new products like these became available I switched to them. They do an excellent job and make the firearm look more presentable. They are well constructed and durable as well as lighter in weight. I have them on all my Remington Guns now; 1100, 11-87, and 7400 carbine."

change your looks of your gun,November 22, 2006

"I had an old, scratched, heavy wood stock on my 12gauge shot gun.
I found Cabela's to have a durable camo stock for my shot gun -- It took minutes to install and the price was great."
