"Was a tight fit and took a little bit of pressure to get it to seat. Stock is very good looking and improved my shot grouping. Recoil pad is hard. Good buy for the money."

"This stock is for a standard caliber. I bought this stock for a short action magmun. I got it to work but it took a little grinding to get the magnum barrel to fit in the stock. Looks good when it's finished."

"rifle was a tight fit ,had to squeeze rifle into the stock while i tightened screw. but anyways it fit like a very tight glove. key word is it fit! i have yet to shoot the rifle with the stock on.i am happy with stock ,looks very well made and great for the price. i had it put on my remington ti 7mm saum"

"I got this item for a new m700. it was a TIGHT fit!!!!!
types stocks are difficult to refit, and yes it is hollow inside, gonna fill mine with foam. the original recoil pad is like a rawhide mallet face, that's gotta go also."

"This is the 2nd Remington stock I have bought. The 1st was about 15 years ago. No problems with it, it went in very well. The 2nd did not fit and had to do a good bit of grinding on it to make it fit. I found that when you taped on the stock it was noisey. Had to fill it with can foam."

"Very easy to install. It took all of 5 minutes to put on my 300 win mag. Did not need to trim the stock to make it fit. An excellent buy for the price to make a great rifle even better. Thanks!"

"I am impressed with the quality of the stock and ease of installation. It looks a lot better than expected too. The rifle is lighter but recoil doesn't appear to be any greater. In fact the recoil pad is a lot more comfortable than the original butt plate. This stock gave an old rifle new life."

"I received this stock and it looked great. I had trouble getting it to work on my 700 BDL because I had added an aftermarket magazine with a clip. I put the original drop plate receiver back on it and the stock fit it great. I decided I liked the clip better so I chose to send it back. For original equipment I would highly reccomend it."

"Stock would not even come close to fitting my 700 ADL 270. Trigger guard would not even fit in the area recessed for it. My gunsmith laughed and could not explain it. Either Cabelas sent the wrong stock or Remington is doing a poor job of manufacturing. Cabelas refunded my money for the stock but I had to pay shipping to send it back to them. Do not buy this unless its in your hands and you can see if it fits your rifle in person."

"Perfect drop in for both 700ADL 243 rifles I have. I'm a coyote hunter and have maintained 1MOA groups with both rifles with these stocks and oddly enough the pattern seems to blend in perfectly with the open prairie colers and shades. These stocks are factory Remington and have exactly the same feel as your original stock. Wish they made them in Youth LOP so I could put one on my wifes 243. Great stock for the money."
