Great for Motorcycling,
October 23, 2009

"I work as a Motorcycle Police Officer and ride year round. I am about to purchase my third pair in six years. I wear these when the temp is below 50 degrees. When it gets to 30 or lower, I switch to the same glove, but with gore-tex lining, for the wind protection. These are GREAT gloves. I figure if I average three years per pair, they are a BARGAIN. My only complant is the velcro, hence the four star rating. The velcro wears out too quickly. The best part is I still have the tactile feel necessary for shooting and writing."

Great Fit,
March 5, 2009
By WVdowntoTN

"I recently purchased my second pair of these gloves. I am extremely warm blooded, therefore I do not get cold easily. These gloves are excellent for a number of things. They're warm enough for MOST outdoor activities. The dexterity is fair, better than most other insulated gloves. I will say there is a MAJOR difference in the thickness of the Gore-Tex version. I'm a huge fan of Gore-Tex, but found them to be significantly bulkier, so I went with the unlined version once again. I've also become a believer in Kangaroo leather from previous experiences with these gloves and boots alike. It is definitely tough, yet extremely soft and lightweight. Whether you bird hunt or drive in them, I don't think you'll be disappointed."

Shooting gloves,
February 9, 2009
By 3Lakes

"These are great gloves, especially in the cold weather when we hunt upland game. The thin leather with Thinsulate keeps your hands warm and they don't feel clumbsy when you get to the trigger guard.
A great value and will last for years. I liked them so much I bought another pair for my son and he loves them too."

Great Glove...,
February 1, 2009
By Anonymous
from Atlanta, GA

"...and I love gloves.
Overall, I'm very happy with this glove. Construction quality seems to be quite good, and for the most part, they fit well for a moderately warm glove that can be used for just about any task. However, I do find the thumb and forefinger to be just the slightest bit short while the rest of the glove fits perfectly (and I like a tight fit). This wouldn't be a concern, except that I'd like less resistance to gripping a pistol tightly. Holding correctly is somewhat hampered by the finger and thumb tips pulling tight before the glove material is pushed firmly against the crook of my thumb and hand by the pistol grip. The leather stretches some, but I find it to be a little distracting, having to make a little extra effort to have a sure grip. Of course, I may just have a long thumb. That said, I don't regret my purchase in the least. I haven't found a better glove for cool weather shooting."

"These are great gloves. They are warm but not bulky. I am on my third pair of gloves. The first pair I had for three years and wore them out. The second pair I unfortunately lost one glove so I of course had to order my third pair. I would definitely recommend these gloves to men and women both."

"I have used the gloves as driving gloves in the truck and for snowplowing with the ATV. Great fit. the flex points at the knuckles and back of palm keep the gloves comfortable. The fit is great with no excess bulk. I have even picked up coins on concrete with the gloves on."

Nice glove, but not for shooting...,

"The quality of this glove is excellent. I found the glove to be somewhat bulky for a shooting glove. Your hands will be warm, but you will sacrifice touch and feel in the process."

"These are really nice to hunt in. I recently wore these for a week of South Dakota pheasant hunting followed by a week in South Louisiana in the marshes. They work great for operating the gun and keeping hands warm. They do NOT keep your hands dry, however."

Nice shooting gloves,

By DickSC

"Nice fit, but maybe large size would have been better. I listened to the other reviews which said to go one size larger. Go with the measurement. These are nice, but are slightly large to dig out a shotshell and load it into the gun."

2nd IRAQ trip,
January 1, 2009
By rwandrw

"I used a set 2005-06 and they are a must during the colder months (yes it can get below freezing In Iraq) you can do all you need to with your weapon and gear without taking them off. The Army issue cold weather will keep your hands warm, but forget using your hand while you have them on. If you are planning to use them in 25 or below know your hands will be cold, they are a “fix all” I believe the thinner tough kangaroo skin makes the difference. You have dexterity with this glove. Also, they have held up where calfskin would have gotten holes in them. I cannot praise them enough. Don’t for get to break them in, when you do they will “fit like a glove”. They are returning with me 09"

Cabela's Kangaroo Leather Thinsulate Shooting Glov,
December 30, 2008
By Otter6
from Bird Hunter in Oklahoma
|
"Well made and fit properly. Don't like the hook and loop wrist closure, but that's just a personal preference. Big drawback for me is that they are only warm above 32 F. Used them for hunting and they didn't keep my fingers warm, but that's just me. Most gloves don't, unless they are too thick to easily fit inside the trigger guard."

Great Driving Gloves,
December 26, 2008
By arrowit
from Fenton, Michigan
|
"I originally bought these gloves for shooting. I loved them so much i started wearing them all the time. I drive more than i shoot so they are used more for driving now. I have bought several for friends and family. I catch myself using them for fetching firewood and quad riding and heavier tasks than they were designed for, and they are still holding up fine. By far the best gloves i have ever owned ! ! !"

Warm without bulk,

By Bradford

"These things well--- FIT LIKE A GLOVE. Or second skin. Very snug but not too tight. And WARM for their weight. The grip is excellent. No bunching fingers like some. The velcro is a little tough to get loose with both gloves on. But it does not interfere during use, slides under a sleeve nicely. Not too stiff, fingers flex fine."
