"At first I thought the gloves were to small,but after a few hours of wearing them they molded perfectly to my hands.They feel great,and are surprisingly warm."

"i purchased the bob allen calf skin shooting gloves insulated at first and they didnt meet my requirment to feel the trigger so i could have a soft steady crisp trigger pull. i called cabelas and they said to ship them back and they will work with me to get what i desired. i then purchased the uninsulated pair which are all calfskin. upon testing them out i was amazed by how thin but yet durable they are. very well constructed and tough. as long as you follow there sizing chart there will be no problem. thankyou for selling such a great product very happy with the purchase as the money spent was well worth it. thankyou *mike*"

OK, if you have long fingers,

"Unless you have long fingers, don't order these gloves! They seemed well made and the hand part fit well, but the fingers were about 3/8" too long. I wear a medium size glove and most products sized "Medium" fit me well, but not these. I also bought a pair of the insultated version and the fingers were too long in them as well. Returned both pair."

"I shoot about a 1000 rounds per year dove hunting. The Bob Allen shooting gloves are light weight and fit very nicely around my hand. This is crucial to a dove hunter that must reload a gun very quickly while the doves are flying. I have used Bob Allen gloves in the past because of their fit and durability. I live in Florida so a light weight glove is essential to comfort while hunting doves in the warm, fall weather."

Good glove but the black die bleeds to skin,

"This is one of the softest gloves I've found that provide very good dexterity for shooting clays and a good weight for the south. My only complaint is that the black die bleeds through regardless of weather conditions...even when it is cold and dry and my hands aren't perspiring. In warm weather my hands look like they have been dipped in black ink. Unfortunately, I'm returning and trying a different brand."

"This is my third pair and while I use them for quail hunting and clays shooting I find they do not wear well. Life span is all to short for the cost. Will not buy more. Lesson finally learned."

"The gloves are excellent to shoot with. However about their longevity I am not so sure since the seams of my pair came apart at the first time of use. Due to Cabella's excellent return policy I was given a new pair immediately. We will see how long they will last."

Quality material and construction!
CON:
Size is a roll of the dice; therefore, it is highly recommended that the buyer try these on for size at a Cabela STORE and buy a pair that fit.
SUMMARY:
I just purchased a pair of these (Jan 2008) and had to return them as the glove opening in the right hand was 3/4" smaller than the left hand glove opening thus making it a very tight fit when putting the glove on. Once the right hand glove was on it fit fine.
The left hand glove was no problem as I had made a good guess by ordering an XL as advised by Cabela's to order the next size larger.
Cabela's along with the order sent a pre-paid mailing label that completely paid for the return shipment taking the sting out of having to return the gloves. Thanks Cabela's
I like these gloves and will try to pick up a pair at my next store visit."

"The gloves were of great quality and the size fit well, even though my hands are large, 2xxl. I had purchased these specifically for a wingshooting trip to Argentina. They functioned well, except the leather wore through on the end of the thumb that was pushing the shells into the magazine. This was after three cases of shells and may be just normal wear and tear for this type of item. I was glad the whole was not in my thumb."
