"I purchased this gun rack for my 2001 F-150 Super Crew cab truck. I followed the mounting instructions and placed one of my rifles in the rack before actually mounting it. I held the rack with rifle up to the roof of my truck and found that it would not work. The only reason it will not work is because the cab is too narrow as compared to a real full size truck like the F-250/350. The rack did hold my rifle very snug and I have no doubt it will do the job when I get rid of this chick truck and get back into a man ride!!!"

"This is the best Gun Rack I have ever owned. The instructions were a little weak, but no big deal. The 2 rifles I have in it now are 7 mm mag & 30.06 and fit just fine, but are real close to my head. I’m going to look at changing it to run from the front to the rear. Any way you can’t go wrong with this rack. Cabela’s shipping was fast, wish they would build one here in Florida"

"I was very pleased with this gun rack. I have a full size Chevy truck and didn't notice any difference in head room, I can have 2 .22 rifles overhead without problem, however there is not enough room for a full length 12ga. Will work great if you have the enough width to accommodate your guns."

"works great, just be careful when drilling the pilot holes in the roof of your vehicle. On the first one I had too much pressure on the drill and went through both sections of my roof. Another use for shoe goo."

"The rack works great. Holds both weapons securely even during the bouncing and shaking of off roading. The only weak spot might be the hardware provided for securing the rack to the headliner. I do however, plan to buy another for the second set of seats in my hunting rig"

"I installed this gun rack in my Polaris Ranger and it works great. Holds both guns securely and well out of the way. I tried various long guns in it, including longer barrel shotguns, and still plenty of room length wise.
This is by far the best gun rack system I've found for the Polaris Ranger.
Note, my Ranger is equipped with the metal roof. Probably would work just as well with a plastic roof, would just have to reinforce it some."

"Overall very nice product. Only one complaint. The metal rings that the straps slide through to sinch the gun down are too weak. One of them broke after 2 or 3 uses. I replace them with larger rings and all is well. Everything else about the rack is perfect."

"The Big Sky Racks Overhead Gun Rack is the best gun rack I have ever used. The gun rack provides excellent protection for my rifles and shotguns by securing them out of harms way. Once you secure the firemarms in the rack it is easy to forget they are even there.
The racks also provide better security for my rifles and shotguns because the guns are out of sight once secured in the rack. The firearms cannot be seen from outside my truck.
The rack is constructed of metal which makes the rack very stong unlike other flimsy plastic racks I have had in the past which break if there are more than one rifle at a time hanging on them. I don't hesitate to carry two large caliber rifles in the rack while off roading all day long. I have never had a firearm fall from the rack or damage to the rack itself.
For any hunter/shooter I would definalty recommend the Big Sky Racks Overhead Gun Rack."
