uninsulated logger boot,

By wetj

"I am a forest ranger in Kentucky, I use these boots during fire season in state and take many western U.S. fire details. These boots are wonderful, however I have had the heel to seperate before. I used shoe goo and the problem was solved. My boots most usely have about a three year life span."

Low wear life,
December 23, 2008
By DeDUCKY

"I have not had these boots very long less than a year and the leather has come apart on the heel of one boot. I realize I work for the railroad and the boots may not have an easy life. But, I expected a high quality pair of boots to last longer thatn 6 months! The tread is not even worn!!"

Excellent Purchase,
December 8, 2008
By gwalz

"I recently purchased the Cabela's Uninsulated Logger boots to replace a worn-out pair of work boots. As a contract archaeologist I am faced with a variety of field and terrain conditions that require a tough field boot. Have been unhappy with my previous field boots I tried the Cabela's loggers. I just returned from a week in the field where I was climbing a steep, often rocky, wooded slope to and from the site and then on my feet for the next 6-7 hours as we mapped the site area. The Cabela's loggers were great right out of the box and did not require a painful break-in period. I will definitely buy these boots again and would recommend them to anyone that needs a serious field boot."

"I have worn various brands of this style of boot, and have found this one to be the most comfortable. They have a light, comfortable lining, and the sole actually has cushion and support. I love these boots!"

Logger boots,
April 30, 2008
By Groundsman
from Upstate NY
|
"Boots are well made and are holding up quite well. They took a little longer than most to break in but once they did, they are very comfortable. The waterproofing works great as well. I have them on for about 13 to 15 hours a day and am having no trouble. I would recommend them."

Great boots,
April 10, 2008
By NAld

"Great boots straight from the box! I wore these boots for a 10 hour shift on day one in the concrete jungle. After several weeks of wearing them now they are broke in perfect and my feet feel great even after 10 hours on the ashfault and concrete. I think they are very well constructed and should last a long time."

Boots are unwearable,
August 22, 2007
By JKS008
from Alabama
|
"The boots looked great in the literature so I ordered them. The problem is that the heel is tall and the break from the tall heel as it proceeds toward the toe is very abrupt creating a drop off line that absolutely kills the bottom of my foot when I try to wear the boot. I have tried numerous times to wear the boots and have discovered that the pain is just not a break in issue. Each time, I just have to take them off. This experience has broke me from ordering boots from a catalogue. Though the experience has always been successful in the past."

Cabelas uninsulated logger boot,
August 7, 2007
By dtimberd
from Pennsylvania
|
"I am a forester working mostly in Pennsylvania. These boots are put through all that mother nature can give out and they hold up as good as or better than any boot I've worn. They had a broken in feel right out of the box. This A1 quality at a fraction of the cost of the "other" boots makes these the only boots I'll buy again."

Apparell for the working man...,
June 27, 2007
By Dragonfly0045

"From the first day that I put these boots on; I found them to be very comfortable. I have worn many different types of work boots and from many different manufacturers, and all needed a break-in period for comfort. As I previously stated : these boots, for me, were very comfortable and were worn on the first day for 14 hrs. Naturally, there was foot fatigue, as there is no footwear, at least that I am aware of, that will safeguard against this. Upon inspection they appear to to be quite well made. They are indeed waterproof, as I was standing in 6-8 inches of water as I worked. I would most definitely recommend these boots.... The price was average, for a boot of this caliber. I trust that they will hold up and stand-up to the test of time. And again, judging by the construction, do not see why they shouldn't. Thanks Cabela's: look forward to future purchases."

uninsulated logger boots,

By bigholton

"These boots are the best hands down. I have had these boots for 2 years. I wear these boots everyday from building fences to working cows in west texas. These boots are the toughest boots around bobwire, mesquites, and catus can not hurt them. They are very comfortable since day one. Will never buy another pair of boots again except for the Cabela's Logger Boots."

GREAT work boots,
November 13, 2006
By Cipher

"I bought these uninsulated boots three years ago and wear them to work every day summer and winter. I climb telephone poles and spend a good deal of time on ladders -- all day outside on my feet. They were comfortable from the first time I put them on and remain so. They are still highly water resistant and the soles have a lot of wear left. I HAVE recomended these to my coworkers and TWO of them have bought pairs. I would not hesitate to buy another pair if these ever wear out."
