Our Filament-Silk Original-Weight, with its smooth texture and natural moisture-wicking ability makes the ideal base for your layering system. The secret to its softness comes from its construction, where the cocoon of the Asian silkworm is unraveled in a single strand and woven into a smooth, lightweight fabric. Not only does it have an incredibly soft finish for superior next-to-the-skin comfort, it also promotes soothing warmth while remaining breathable for a fresh feel all day long.

In the Spun Silk Heavy-Weight, you get increased thickness. By cutting the cocoon of the silkworm and spinning the fibers into a heavier-weight yarn, we have increased the thickness of our silk underwear substantially. This heavier-weight fabric retains all the soft, moisture-wicking properties of silk while adding extra warmth for the coldest days of winter. And just like our filament silk, spun silk retains its shape, drapes well and hugs the skin for superior comfort in a layering system.

In the Silk/Wool blend, a small strand of wool yarn is twisted with spun silk yarn. Two of natures best insulation fibers combined to produce a unique fabric for all active and cold weather sports. 80% silk/20% lamb's wool.
