"These boots were highly rated and that's why I ordered them. The problem for me was the fit felt odd and the fact that the tongue don't fit flush with my ankles and bunches up when the laces are tightened. I'm sure these boots are great for many out there but not me...."

"I've had these boots since 1995 and have gone through many sets of resoles. They have been with me to Alaska a couple of times, Michigan, and the west. There is no beter boot than Danner in my opinion. All these years later and they still don't leak. I just had them resoled again and redyed for this upcoming season and they look like new. They will not let you down."

"This boot is not what i thought it was going to be at all not nearly as surdy as i was hopeing for. They are comfortable but i am adding extra arch support to the leather is soft and that makes for a bad work boot."

"Without question, the finest pair of boots I've owned. Purchased 3 years ago as a motorcycle riding boot after an exhaustive search for a narrow width, high quality boot. Very comfortable in the summer months (even riding the Harley on 100+ degree days), and they keep me warm in the snowy winter months. Added a custom insole to replace the airthotic insole that comes with the boot. The result is an even more comfortable fit. In summary, expensive, but worth every penny from quality, function, fit, and style perspectives."

"Not only are these boots good looking, they keep my feet dry,they are very comfortable. The type of work I do is extremely demanding on footwear, and these boots fill this need. My Second Pair of Danner Ft Lewis Boots,November 22, 2006

"In July of 1996 I was looking for a pair of boots I could use for the upcomming hunting season. I found the Ft Lewis boot listed in the Cabela's catalog and ordered a pair. Those boots made 6 spring Alberta bear hunting trips and lasted thru 9 hunting seasons in East Tennessee. I must admit I finally tore a hole in the side of the boots this year and it was so bad it couldn't be repaired. These are the most comfortable and best wearing boots I have ever owned and they have lasted thru 2 sets of soles in 9 years. When it came time to order another pair of boots for this years hunting season, I pulled out the Cabela's catalog and ordered the same Ft Lewis boot I have grown accustomed to for all these years. If you are looking for a boot that will last no matter how hard or how long you wear them then I suggest the Danner Ft Lewis boot. These boots are a little more expensive than some of the competition but no other boot will outlast or out do these. All the best, 338mag"
