Best boot for Law Enforcement EVER!!,September 21, 2009

"I had been going through 1 or 2 boots per year until I found these. I am a deputy in Ohio where it gets in the 90's in summer and teens in winter and was tired of buying two $120 pair of boots per year so I started asking some of our older guys for suggestions. Many of them are 20+ year veterans and most wore Acadias. Their only complaint was that they needed resoled after about every 4 years of every day use and after about 3 resoles they had to buy another pair. WOW!! I have had them for two years now and they are still waterproof, comfortable, and after a cleaning and polish look BRAND NEW!! It took about a week to break them in but even during that time I had no blisters and found them as comfortable as any pair of tennis shoes, now they are the most comfortable footwear I own, I even use them pheasant hunting. I did have the top five eyelets replaced with hooks by a local cobbler, I have never owned a zipper boot that did not cause problems and am a bit too lazy to lace eyelets every single day. Also the biggest draw back is the initial price, however I have found that in the long run they are are so much CHEAPER! If in doubt just ask any "old timer" at your workplace, wherever it may be, about these boots."

"These are hands down the best uniform boots made. The traction and stability are superb, and you can be on your feet all day with them. They even work well in the snow and ice of northern New York State. Why drive a Chevy when you could have a Mercedes? The Acadia is well worth the money."

"Camping, backpacking, paintballing, working, I used them for everything. The only thing wrong with them now is the sole wore down... which I was going to get resoled... until my dog ate them... sad day... I'm depressed... I think I'm switching to the Commander now... which is the same except 7" instead of 9". I loved these boots... gortex is excellent... never got wet. Best boots I ever owned."

"This year I realized that I was overdue for a re-sole on my old Acadias. After looking at them I formed the opinion that I should replace them because I had worn throught the outsole and partway through the midsole, at the heel. My old boots were so good that I never contemplated any other brand or boot. I have worn those boots on patrol (police) for years and they have served with distinction the whole time. I have stood in water up to my ankles and never gotten me socks wet. I have tromped through all kinds of conditions and never once wished I had bought any other boot. I have worn other cheaper boots from other companies and never been as satisfied with them as I am with my Danners. The best costs extra and Danners are worth it. The new Danners are performing jus as I knew they would...outstanding. On top of all that Cabella's had the best price anywhere and the free shipping added to the bargain. I recieved my boots in just 6 days and was very pleased with my experience of buying from Cabella's."

"I personally only wear Danner boots and have 4 pairs at the present time. I ordered these boots in my normal size (13d).But i quickly noticed they were very narrow so I returned them and ordered a size 13 in E width. These boots feel like heaven on your feet and seem to break in real quick even with the top grain leather that is used. I ordered the uninsulated version of the boots because I live in the Atlanta, Georgia area and it tends to get warm here. These boots do seem to wick moisture away from your feet as advertised so if you have a problem with sweaty feet, this is a plus. The only problem that I have found in them, is the soles leave black scuff marks and the rubber on the soles seems to be soft. The soles have good traction on dry surface but are slippery on wet floors. I might add that the sole are the type that when worn out, can be replaced. As I mentioned before these boots are a dream to wear and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a higher quality boot."

"This is my third pair of Danner Acadia boots and I have never had any issues with any of them. I use these boots for work and wear them from 10 to 12 hours a day in various weather conditions. Out of all the Danner Acadia's I have owned never once have my feet gotten wet and as most people know it rains a little bit in Oregon!! The boots are honestly very comfortable and feel more like a shoe than a boot. Beyond the boots being functional they are also very professional looking, which is another important factor for my profession."

"This is the fourth pair of these boots that I have purchased. These boots are as comfortable at the end of the day as in the beginning. I wore them in my lawn care business until my recent retirement, and was in all kinds of weather, from rain to extreme heat.
