"These pants are made with high quality materials. I have a browning GORE-TEX coat that i wear with these pants and they compare very well when it comes to performance in the field. They are light weight so be sure to layer up if you hunting in late season. My waist size is a 31-32 and they fight pretty tight on me I can still fit them over a pair of jeans or wool pants. If you are any bigger then a 32 go with the large. A great pair of pants. Good luck hunting!"
Great item,September 30, 2009

"Purchased these pants for Elk hunting in Colorado. We actually did not have much rain, but they were my packable/wearable wind proof, warm layer too. Had weather in the 20s and all I wore was my regular camo pants and these as a shell and was very warm. Are quiet, light weight, good wind break and no doubt water proof, pack up small in my back pack. Like how the crotch did not hang down to my knees like some other rain pants do. I could hike in these all day and did in the mountains. Like the belt loops. Inner mesh caught up on my boots a little when putting on and taking off which you do a lot, but I could work around that. If you plan on doing this for years, don't waste money on anything less."
"I have insulated and now uninsulated MT050 pants and coats. I believe they are the best on the market. I did not give 5 stars as I would like to see pockets in the fronts legs.. Not quit sure why cabelas chose to save a few buckets and not include as they do in other raingear they sell..
Well this would not stop me from buying because they have kept me high and dry during many hunts...Full Stop!!!"

"I bought the pants and jacket together and love them. The only down fall is that they are a little heavy when packed. Other than that they work great and would probably buy another pair."
My new favorites,March 28, 2009

"These pants are awesome! I love how quiet they are for a rainproof pant. Mt050 garments are the real deal. I didn't want to spend the money but I'm glad I did. The seclusion 3d pattern looks great on this fabric too. I just wish the pants had a zippered fly and more pockets(only 3). Great garment!"
"I had a pair of these and they were too long so instead of returning them I sold them to my brother. These were a replacement pair. Great raingear and packable into the hind pocket must have in your daypack. Makes me think I need to get the jacket."

"I went hunting shortly after receiving the pants and the weather was somewhat cold with misting rain. I put on the pants, and they kept my regular pants dry and kept me warm. I know I will enjoy these for years to come."

"I have been ordering the MT050 Rain gear for a long time. I live where it rains over 100 inches a year. There is not a better product in my eyes. It is durable and comfortable."

"I love the material, but wish there were pockets in the legs. It hampers my hiking when I have too much stuff in the pockets above my hips. Gortex did it's job in the rain."
Great, compact rain gear,September 23, 2008
By litig8rguyfrom California
"I bought these for a pack-in elk hunt in Wyoming and put them right to use. With weight limits a priority for the pack-in, these light, compact (stuff into a self-contained, zippered pouch) pants filled my need for lower-half rain gear. I sat and walked in these pants at 10,000 feet in the wind, rain, hail and snow. No problem for this tough garment. What surprised me most was the warmth they also provided against the cold wind--thanks to Gore-Tex. When the weather cleared, they remained comfortable in hotter conditions. I appreciated the belt loops (not available on many rain pants), allowing me to belt-carry my hunting gear and use the pants as a primary outer garment when uncertain about the weather. I assume the companion jacket will perform just as well. Buy them!"
"The MT050 gear is a good choice for outer layer if you are planning on an early season elk/deer hunt in WY. Wear this over a base layer of poly (under amour or polar tec) and you will have all you need to be comfortable."
"These pants are the perfect compliment to the MT050 Gore-Tex Quiet Pack Jacket. They fit comfortably, are light weight, and are durable. Perfect for a day on a tree stand waiting for deer or a black bear, or walking the Alaska tundra after caribou. A great value."
