A lot of people were caught off guard last year when the snow started piling up and the temperatures nosedived. And,
if you're like many of us, your feet were the first victims of last winter's cold, wet weather. So this year, treat them to
the warm, waterproof protection of our exclusive GORE-TEX Stretch Oversocks. Pull on a pair of these 100%
waterproof/breathable socks underneath any pair of hunting, hiking or work boots and head outside with the
confidence that comes from knowing your feet will stay warm and dry in any conditions. Keep a pair in your hunting
bag for times when you go in over your boots or waders. Stash a set in your pack for insurance against a rainy day. Or
keep a pair behind the seat of your truck to protect you when you have a flat tire on the side of a slushy road. You'll
rest easy knowing their proven reliability is there when you need it. Now you understand why we believe that beneath
every pair of hunting boots, old or new, inexpensive or high priced, these socks are the best investment an

long wear and a comfortable fit. Add the incredible insulating qualities of 100-gram Thinsulate™ insulation and
you have socks that transform your hunting boots, hiking boots or walking shoes into insulated, waterproof footwear.
An excellent choice for wearing in rubber-bottom boots, leather hunting boots or waders. Color:
Black. Sizes: 6-13. Whole sizes only. Order by boot size.
NOTE: Always wear
with a liner sock. Insulated socks will require additional room inside your footwear, about the same as if wearing two
pairs of socks.

GoreTex Socks,July 8, 2009
By ColoradoDreamerfrom Denton, TX.
"Although the GoreTex socks are a little bulky (insulated), they performed extremely well. I managed to soak my hiking boots during a Canada fishing trip, so I just slipped on the socks to keep my feet dry. After a couple of days, my boots dried and I removed the GoreTex socks. Money well spent!"

Gore-Tex Socks,February 9, 2009
By ZOG09
"Excellent product! Lots of snow, ice, and cold in Western PA. Socks allowed me to stay outside for many more hours than traditional foot gear. Combined with Gore-Tex boots, single digit temperatures were easily conquered foes."

goretex thinsulate socks,January 5, 2009
By scartissuefrom NW Indiana
"aside from being disapointed in the overall size of the stocking( it's a little narrow in the leg to foot/ankle joint , so it's tough to get on) i'm very happy with the performance of the stockings... they work better than advertised. My old hunting boots( that leak like a seive & aren't insulated) work like a champ & my scarred up old feets is happy happy happy to have them old friends on 'em again. they're goin' to Texas with me in Feb. to hunt a little quail and drink a little camp juice...we'll se how they last in them prickly pears. scartissue"

Not as described,November 19, 2008
By MannyJoefrom Seattle, WA
"The socks were not as described - they were not stretch Gore-Tex. They feel like I'm wearing a bag over my feet. The socks were good as Gore-tex socks, just not as advertised. I already have a regular pair and they work great so I was really looking forward to the stretchable fabric."

a little thick and bulky,March 11, 2008
By bwbikerfrom boston, ma
"i purchased the insulated socks only for use for cold, wet biking commutes. i bought the same size as my casual shoe size. i find them somewhat bulky with the insulation (i haven't tried the non-=insulated variety), but i can barely fit them in my shoes with a thin lining sock. they're warm, and do keep my feet dry; i think they would work well for snow/ cross country skiing. i'm a fan, but wish they were less bulky and think the uninsulated variety might be better for my purposes (bike commuting - location - Boston)"

great socks,March 11, 2008
By tbobbyfrom Idaho
"These socks kept my feet dry and warm while snowmobiling over four days even though on one day the inside of my boots were damp. However, I would buy two sizes bigger than your foot size as just one size bigger is a bit snug."

Socks not bad,February 9, 2008
By bert2888from Pa.
"The first few times I used them they were great. Reading the care for the socks that came with them makes them sound fragile. After wearing them after a few times (15 or 20), the heal of my feet are now getting cold. Other than that they are nice. I would possibly Buy another pair and try them again. And yes, I still use them. They aren't that bad."

Cabela's insulated Gore tex Socks,September 10, 2007
By rooster1from Moose Jaw, sk (canada)
"These Socks are absolutely incredible. They allow your feet to breath while, at the same time, protecting them from the elements . You could step in water up to your ankle and these Socks would keep your feet completely dry. I've used these socks while pheasent hunting in cold to moderatly cold weather and they have performed very well. However, I would order at least one size bigger than usual because they are bulky inside boots. I would recommend these socks to anyone who won't let a little rain keep them away from the field."

Water Resistent Socks that Really Work,November 21, 2006
By Woodlandwalkerfrom Rochester, NY
"I've used Cabela's Insulated Gore-Tex socks for three years now. Every day, 365 days a year, I walk my Springer Spaniel in a rural upstate NY woodland for at least 2 hours a day. The type of walking I do isn't suited for wearing rubber boots, pacs, or other footwear that's rigid. I prefer lightweight high-top work shoes. We often must walk really fast through rain, snow, mud, swamps, and wetlands. I hate having wet feet and in my effort to remain dry I have tried several other "water-proof" socks. For me, Cabela's insulated model is the only one that really works. Typically, I have found that a pair of these socks will remain leak-proof for about 6-9 months. I generally switch to the uninsulated model for summertime use. They give me about the same amount of reliability. All in all, I have found Cabela's Gore-Tex socks to be the most cost-effective and comfortable way of keeping my feet dry under these extreme conditions."
