"The liners are tapered as they come to the front of the boot near the toe section and it feels very uncomfortable it feels like a good place to start a blister would not recommend them

"I just got to use them one time this weekend. It got down to about 35 degrees for deer hunting this weekend. I got 9ee which is my normal size and they fit very well. I wore one pair of wool socks and the boots got pretty hot walking to the stand but my feet did not sweat. I sat in the stand all day with the north wind blowing in but the boots kept my feet, even my toes warm all day. I have some 1000gram boots but my toes always get cold. I wore these boots right out of the box to the stand and they are great...."

"I just sat through the coldest opening morning I have ever experienced for Wisconsin's Gun Deer hunt. I have hunted in Florence County since I was a child, this was my 25th year. An all time record for November 22nd was set at -2 degrees that morning. It was cold!
The Outfitter boots from Cabelas performed unbelievably. My feet never got cold and I normally would be struggling in those kind of cold temperatures.

BEST BOOTS EVER!!,December 4, 2008

"After 20years and many a frozen toes I have finally found a pair boots that keep my toes and feet warm regaurdless of conditions. I Just bought these a month ago and have used them three times. First time is was windchill of 10 degrees with 20-30mph winds. Second time it was aprox. 20 degrees and snowing. Third time it was 25 degrees and raining. The third time, in ohio, there was tons of wet red clay. While riding my ATv i slung Mud on my bow. So i had to dip my bow in a pond to clean my arrows off. I was in about 8 inches of water. While teh rest of my gear isnt the greatest and I got cold and or wet my feet was toasty warm and dry. My only knock on these boots are the bulk. Very comfortable but bulky and a fudge of the heavy side. Overall if you want a serious boot for seriously tuff conditions then you can not go wrong."

"As a child growing up in North Dakota my feet were frozen several times and I believe that is why they get cold very easily now. Not anymore, my son in law got so tired of my complaining and my childhood stories that he bought me a pair of the 2000 gram outfitters. What a boot, no more cold feet and very comfortable. "I recently moved to Montana and last year was my first year to elk hunt the big sky country. I was in for a big surprise by the third week of elk season when we were hunting in five to ten degree true fahrenheit temperatures! My feet just about froze off, and I was wearing a name brand boot with 1200 grams thinsulate, heavy wool socks and thermax liners! I've hunted Colorado since 1992 and I have never experienced cold like we had in Montana last year. I recently ordered these boots because I obviously needed a boot that is well insulated! I tried several other insulated boots up to 1200 grams of thinsulate without success. I really didn't want to go to the bulkiness of a pac boot, so I thought I would try the Cabela's 2000 Outfitters boot. I received these boots last week and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these boots. They are very well constructed but, they are a little more bulky than what is depicted on the webpage....but not excessive. I have been wearing these boots for a few hours everyday and I am very satisfied with this purchase! Thanks again Cabela's for another fine product!"

AFTER BOOTS ARRIVED NOTICED WORKMANSHIP LOOKED GREAT BUT DUE TO 2000 GRAM INSULATION BOOTS WERE TOO BULKY AND FIT TOO TIGHT, WEIGHT WAS NOT A BIG FACTOR BUT RETURNED BOOTS AND AM TRYING DANNER INSTEAD. "I bought these boots back in Janurary, but held off on a review until I had worn them and could comment truthfully. I work in the oil fields of NW PA where the temperatures can turn brutally cold. I work outside all day long. I needed a boot that could keep my feet warm and dry, whether I was hunting, fishing, or working. I have to say, these boots met my expectations. I've tried many different "brands" of boots, some were better than others, but I have yet to find fault with these Cabela's boots except for a few minor things, which I now realize are just the result of having a heavily insulated boot. For someone who has never worn a boot like this, the bulk of the boot was a little intimidating. It is a very big boot, but you do get use to it. I'd wear buckets on my feet it they kept me warm and comfortable during my day at work. The only other warning I'd give to prospective buyers of this boot is that the shoestrings are rather rigid and reqiure a little extra time to lace up to make everything tight, as does the un-lacing. But about the time I was cursing them and thinking about looking for replacements, I realized that hey, maybe these shoestrings will last. I'm sure they will. I would recommend these boots to anybody that needs the extra insulation and the Gore-Tex. They definitely made my winter this year alot more bearable. Good job Cabela's!"

"These Boots are one of the softest pair of Boots that I have ever owned, they are warm and toastey in cold weather. I have problems with my feet but I can wear these all day with no problem what so ever. The boots are thick like they have been puffed up, the sizes are a little small I had to go up two sizes to get a good fit."
