"These are good quality boots. I have a very WIDE FOOT and hard to find boots and shoes for me. These fit good. The only negative is the tounge. The tounge does not press up to your leg right.I guess it is the way it is gusseted. It is stiff and will not fold over either when you try to lace them up. Look like Herman Munsters Boots.LOL.. Think they should last a long time. Just need to break in the tounge I guess. If not for that I would give them a 5.."

"This is an excellent quality leather boot for cold weather hunting. These boots are as warm as pack boots but are fitted better if you prefer still hunting to stand hunting. I have a very wide foot and this is one of best high quality leather boots available in a extra wide width (4E). 100% waterproof leather keeps your feet warm and dry. I order 1 size larger to assure good air circulation and fit with a thick hunting sock. If you have a problem keeping your feet warm on stand, this is the way to go. I tried a lot of big game boots and these work best for me. Definately worth the money!"

"i have owned these boots for roughly 4-5 years now. I wear them every day for work, and all season long to hunt. I finally wore the toe through the other day, however the rest of the boot is still in excelent shape. I have waterproofed them once for the life of the boot this past winter and still do not get wet feet. I am over 300 pounds and the tread is still in good shape, and at the end of the day (usually around 12 hours of wear), my feet are in great shape. I would, and will be buying another pair very shortly. They are very much worth the price."

"I got these boot about 1 month ago and although they are just a bit bulky they fit very well. The size seems to run true and they felt like they were broke-in after taking a 4 hour hike. The weather here in Alaska is getting nicer so I'll have to wait until fall hunting season to try them out more because they are so warm. My first 2 hikes were in about 10-15 degree weather and I only wore 2 pairs of regular socks. My feet were plenty warm. I only gave them 4 stars because I haven't been able to really put them through a lot of testing, although I had my first pair of Outfitter boots since 1994 and only replaced them because my lugs on the soles started breaking off. I can only hope that these boots last close to that long."

"I purchased the 10 inch / 1000 gram boots. I have only had the opportunity to use them 3 times during the 2008 Deer Season. I believe the hard rubber soles will wear much better that the soft rubber soles on my prior Rocky Bear Claws which started to recently disintegrate.
My feet started to get a little cold after 3 hours of stand Hunting. Perhaps a 1200 gram option would be beneficial."

"I use these for deer, elk, coyote and other camping trips year round. They take snow, rain, mud, occassional stream crossing and a variety of seasonal use. Without hesitation these boots are exceptionally well made, waterproof, not too hot and the soles withstand alot of pressure I put them through. I'm 6'4'', 250 lbs and in shape....these boots are still rocking.
Should have written this a long time ago but 5 stars & I'd replace them again with the same boot.
Only "constructive criticism" would be during late season cold hunts 15dg or less or if stand sitting in snow, these can get a bit cold. Cabelas Outfitter Series socks assist alot but they do run cool in deep sitting snow or true low temps...but these are 1000 gram thinsulate boots. If you're going to be in snow or true cold temps for extended periods, there are better boots for that direct application. Only other thought is I prefer a truly aggressive rock griping toe and although I've never slipped in these, there are more intense soles. That being said, 6 yrs and very slim wear on these soles.

"I have been wearing my original set of these boots for over five years. That may not sound too impresive until I mention that I don't just wear them hunting a couple of times a year but actually every day to work on the Rail Road as well. They are very well made. They make walking on railroad ballast a cinch as there is ample support in the ankle and the sole, and still flexible enough to not feel like I'm wearing "clod hoppers". The Goodyear air bob tread keeps me from slipping and sliding even in the wet fall and spring snows up hunting. I liked them so much I finally broke down and bought a new set of these boots when the laces finally gave out!"

"I've traveled this country from one coast to the other...mostly by foot. These boots, although taking a bit to break in for me, are incredible! They will keep your feet warm and incredibly dry even in water near the top of the boot, the fit is snug and comfortable. I did have a few complaints with them though...the soles are great once they are worn in a bit but until then don't expect to keep your footing on ice or slippery smooth surfaces; after 3 years of HEAVY abuse the lining on the inside unraveled and I had to cut the boot to get my foot out...not much to complain about after over 30,000 miles on them. Even the laces are still usable."
