The 9" boot has lightweight 200-gram Thinsulate™ Insulation throughout for a good measure of warmth without unnecessary weight or bulk, making them ideal for hiking as well as mild-weather hunting. The full-grain Pittards® leather withstands the abuse and wear from rocks, trees and brush. These insulated Outfitters, with their aggressive airbob and 3/8" cleated rubber outsoles, give you confidence to take on any terrain. Shock-absorbing EVA midsoles soak up the blows dished out by hard terrain so your ankles, knees and legs won't have to. A removable foam footbed covered with moisture-wicking polypropylene gives them extra cushioning and moisture-wicking power. And, the unique lace-to-toe construction helps lash them to your foot for maximum ankle support and comfort. A GORE-TEX®
and a moisture-wicking lining pulls perspiration away from your socks and feet, and the padded collar and tongue prevent blisters that can put a painful end to an otherwise successful day of hunting.

"I purchased the outfitter boot in a size 15 wide. I always have trouble finding a good fit with my big feet but found near perfection in these. The arch and sole fit well and the upper is tough and durable. These boots protect my feet from the rocky ledges and ridges I hunt. If these wear out I'll be ordering them again. Thanks Cabela's Ken"

"I took these boots from the box and straight into the field small game hunting for 3 days and many miles. They are the most comfortable boots I have worn with no break in necessary. There was no leakage walking through standing water and the soles have an aggressive tread. I would absolutely recommend these boots. I had to go 1/2 size larger than my usual shoe size."

"I have had a chance to wear these boots for a year now. They break in rapidly, the leather has held up well with no obvious break down. The soles, on the other hand, were excellent at first, but have split open in the middle of the tread. I am forced to park these boots until I can get them resoled. They offer good support and appear to be well made with exception of the plastic strip around the edge of the sole is badly cracked and the sole issue. 4e width boots are hard to find, so I have purchased another pair. I just wish the sole compound would hold up better. I would rate these higher if not for the sole cracks. They are unacceptable."

"I bought mine in 2004, 1000 gram Thinsulate model. They look like I bought them this year and they get used hard every year. I am not shy about stepping in the water with them either. When I get home from a full day on the ice or hunting I don’t want to take them off. The best boot I have ever owned. For the warmer weather I am adding a 200 gram pair to the closet for upland hunting."

"I curently own 3 pair of thest boots 200 gram, 1000 gram and 2000 gram. The oldest pair is 5 years old and are still not showing hardly any wear. I have not yet suffered cold wet feet while wearing them. I absolutely love these boots and am planning on getting another pair of the 200 gram ones to wear at work. Anyone who wants a quality pair of boots that will last for years and are affordable should seriously consider a pair of these."

"These boots were comfortable and warm enough for hunting in 37+F temperatures. They served the purpoose I wanted when I ordered them. But there was one unexpected issue. The rounded knobs on the sole made stepping on rocks in the trails a little difficult. I was slipping a bit and had to slow my pace. Maybe the soles will get better with age. We'll see. Other than this, good, sturdy boots."

"I am a college student in Wisconsin, where image is everything, and nothing people wear seems practical. I, being from smalltownville WI, bought these boots to look like nice leather shoes with jeans, but to keep my feet warm in WI winters, be cool enough sitting in class, and dry all year long. They are great, I convinced a friend do get the same and he loves them. Now his fiance is getting a pair. I bought my pair 3 years ago.~just now writing this because they are still working wonders, and worth every penny. Coming from a college student, that means something. (I estimate to have put over 400 miles on these boots, probably much more)"

"I returned the boots after trying to like them for a couple of weeks. My biggest problem was trying to put them on! The area between the tongue and the back of the boot was so narrow that my foot had great difficulty passing into the boot. This was with the boot unlaced almost all the way. Once the boot was on they were fine but putting them on and getting them off was a real chore. One suggestion I would make to Cabelas is to put speed laces on these boots like their Iron Ridge series along with widening the tongue area on these boots."

"I've used this boot on 8 Colorado elk & mule deer hunts. Temperatures from 10 degrees to 75 degrees. My feet have not been cold or hot. I only wear a fairly lightweight wool blend sock and my feet are very comfortable. The sole provides great traction on rock and in the mud and snow. I have a pair of the 1000 gr. and they are great for ice fishing. I did have a slight problem with the tongue on the 1000 gram."

"i live in the uk and i recently purchased these boots via e mail they were with me within 2 weeks of ordering them which is faster than a lot of uk sites. the boots themselves are excellent in both quality and fit, they are light to wear and are very warm. we have been experiencing sub zero temperatures in the uk and the sole tread has ensured my safety when walking. i would certainly reccomend them."
