"With the winter season fast approaching and a baby on its way, I bought this piece with high hopes. It may sound strange but growing up, whole coyotes were used to store just about everything in my house (GranPap's tobacco, Ma's fresh tomatos, my pet coyotes, list goes on) and I thought this would be a good way to keep myself and at least one of the kids warm when the winds came. I tested this thing in ways you don't even want to imagine, with plenty of kids, and during the worst parts of a brutal Montana winter season and fellas... This. Thing. Took. A. Licking. And. Kept. On. Ticking. Where I come from in Montana we joke about cheaply made fur garments and gear made by people in some office building but this thing is the real deal. It would be nice to have a cell phone pocket and/or an adjustable 5th leg chin strap on the next model, but I'm just picking. Anyway, great hat, really comfortable, would recommend to all."

"This is a beautiful hat. Handsome, I might add. I found out about this hat from a couple of women at my work. They remarked on how well-crafted this piece was. The dangling feet are a nice touch. Whether you are braving the cold while making some dutch-oven cobbler, or splitting logs for the pot-belly stove, I suspect this is the quintessential, must-have for any serious outdoors man.

"I do a lot of hiking, tracking, and trapping in the Sangre de Christo Mountains outside of Sante Fe and, man, does it sometimes blow real cold there in the winter. I dress warmly, of course, but my face and ears would get cold no matter how much Vaseline I would rub on them and sometimes the Vaseline itself would freeze hard due to the extreme cold. Anyway, for my 41st birthday, which was, as it always is, late November, my mother got me one of these hats. I immediately put it on and went up into the mountains to try it out. It happened to be a very cold, windy day and the hat not only kept my face and ears and neck very, very warm, but also my hands, which I had to stick under the part that hangs down because in my excitement to try out the hat, I forgot my gloves! After I returned from my hike, elated, I went to a gun shop to have my rifle re-bored and a cute woman remarked upon my hat and how much she liked it. We struck up a conversation -- much of which centered around whether the e in coyote is silent, which I think it is -- and discovered that we had a lot in common, especially our love for the TV show, "Cops." We have gone out on dates several times and we are pretty serious about each other. So not only does the hat keep my body -- especially my face and ears and neck -- warm, but it may keep my heart warm for many a year if I marry my sweet Edna."

"My close circle of friends decided I was the only one who could pull off wearing this hat. Boy were they right. Fantastic. Now that my wife and I live in Tennessee, it is gems like this that help us blend in and gain respect from the locals. If birds decide to attack my hat they have another thing coming. While I don't own many dead animal hats, I look forward to many days fishing with my wonderful coyote headpiece. The coyote was a marvelous animal and it is just incredibly warm around the back, neck, and sides of the face. This was the best gift of the year. 5 Stars for my new spirit guardian."

"I have purchased a number of fur hats in my day but this is by far the warmest and most comfortable. Not only does it keep the back of my head warm but you can wrap the legs around your face to block the wind. The only reason this hat did not receive 5 stars is due to the fact that I was attacked by a bird thinking it was wounded prey while I was out for a walk. A rare but unfortunate occurrence when wearing an animal pelt on your head. Also great in the rain. Didn't smell at all after it was wet and it makes a great present. I'm getting one for my wife."
