"I got these gloves because I needed some dexterity in the cold weather. I must say that these are great gloves and would have garnered the full 5 stars, except that they are a tad too large. I ordered them one size smaller, as recommended by others, but they stretch out and must be "shrunk" back to their original size. other than that I am able to go out in the frigid Minnesota air and be relatively comfortable."

"Let me first say that I love Cabela's products and believe that, by and large, they offer great value; I've found the exception.
I do not understand how Cabela's can call these gloves ragg wool. They are thin and flimsy, and unlike anything I've ever seen classified as ragg wool. The glove 'cuffs' need to be rolled up to be worn as they as far too long. I've worn them 3 times, and my wife thought they were my old fingerless gloves that I've had for 5 years. I've since bought, for a $1 more, TRUE ragg wool, with thinsulate. VERY disappointing."

"I purchased these gloves as I prefer having my fingers uncovered when bird hunting. These are great gloves in terms of comfort and warmth. One warning though, and this has been pointed out by other reviewers, they run big so size down when purchasing."

"I bought the brown and the grey gloves. They keep your hands warm like they should, but allow you to use your fingers. Perfect for duck hunting. I love the fingerless gloves, and especially because there isn't a bulky mitten on top that folds over to cover your fingers. (those always get in the way).
Downside to these gloves is that they aren't very good quality. You need to be careful not to snag them on anything because it can make a hole in them pretty easy. Also, the brown gloves are not as pictured, they do not have any sort of grip on the palm. Which isn't a big deal, but it's not as it's pictured."

"I've been a user of 1/2 finger wool gloves for duck hunting and fishing for years, they work for me- period! Wool retains heat even when wet. This Cabelas pair is a little big for me but they still work fine. Used them this past weekend of Minnesota walleye opener on Lake Kabetogama, snow, rain, very cold. I love them! I'm giving only 4 stars because I think sizing is off. I have pretty big hands and ordered large instead of XL and they're still big."

"It's amazing to me, but no store in my area had these. When I found them at Cabelas.com it was truly one of those "epiphany moments". These gloves are the real deal! The long backs keep you warm when your coat sleeves ride up and the 1/2 finger design affords you dexterity. The Cabela's 1/2 Finger Ragg Wool glove is warm and perfect for cold weather fishing, hunting or even as an every day glove. I love mine!
Tip: The sizes seem to run "large". If you are in doubt, buy the smaller size. (Or, wash them a few good times to shrink them up a bit.)"
