"I was a little skeptical when my jacket arrived since it was somewhat short at the waist. It sits just at waist level, but the tag said it was purposefully designed that way. I'm only 5'10" tall and I considered returning it for the tall version except for the sleeves would be longer also and I didn't need that. However, I am still pleased with the purchase and would recommend it. It feels and looks durable, as most Carhartt products are, and I have received compliments on the look of the jacket. I suggest to Carhartt and Cabelas that maybe an 1" be added in hem length for all sizes and the price point be lowered by $10-$15. I think it was a bit pricey for the type jacket it is."

"A great jacket designed for autumn, or even mild winter days. I got the "moss" with the chocolate collar -- looks great with my chocolate cowboy hat. It also comes in a "Long" version, so I'm not sure why people are complaining about the length. The "Regular" length works for me, as I'm only 5'7". It's designed to sit high. Like other Carhartt jackets, it is undersized, so you need to order one size larger than what you usually wear."

"The quality of the jacket is OK. I thought the zipper was just waiting to break. I ordered a medium. I'm 5'8, 150 lbs. Wearing just a T-shirt, the jacket was very snug. Too snug. So I returned it. I hope I get a credit for it. So take the sizing into consideration if you're going to wear a flannel shirt, or a sweatshirt with it."

"I purchased the jacket for my 16 year-old son and it's really much too short waisted. He has asked me to wash it in cold water and hang dry. This jacket won't even last until the first snow, unfortunately. Arms are a good length, and so is the width around the waist, it just rides really high. Dissapointed would put it mildly."

"This jacket replaced a brand new Carhartt traditional jacket which I found way too stiff and uncomfortable. This later "new" jacket replaced a Carhartt that was at least 25 years old and was as comfortable as an old friend. Unfortunately, over the years it must have shrank. This new prewashed/brushed jacket feels just like it is supposed to, like it is 25 years old. Perfect!"

"Awesome jacket that is tough, keeps you warm but also breathes well so you don't have to worry about getting sweaty when you are working and then getting chilled when you cool down.
