Cabela's Elkskin Insulated Gloves,

"This is my second pair of Cabela's Elkskin Insulated Gloves.
They are very comfortable, durable, and warm. The only negative is that they look very nice when new but in fact are a work glove and will look worn quickly. For outdoor work or as a everyday casual glove they are excellent, but not for continued dressy appearance."

"These gloves have a small minus: a soft skin which is scratched and damaged. For a half-year of use they have assumed the worn out air. They became similar to the suede. Have it in view of. I think that the next year I should buy the new gloves."

"While this pair of gloves is an improvement over the ones I used to wear when walking dogs in cold weather, they have not met my expectations. During cold, windy weather my fingers still get very cold as the walk progresses. For short term exposure to very cold conditions, these gloves would be fine."

"These gloves are comfortable in sub-zero temperatures in Chicago. I'm from Montana so I know how well elkskin wears. As so many people have stated in reviews I've read, you really need to oder one size larger. I agree. These are five star quality gloves and well worth the cost."

Good gloves, but sizes are way too small,

"Great gloves. If you order, be sure to order 2 sizes larger than normal since Cabelas sizes based on the outer shell only. Of course when they stuff in all the thinsulate, a 2XL shell becomes a Large glove at best. Thus if you normally order larger than a real world Large, don't buy them. Most of the ones I bought ended up donated to charity since only my wife could wear them (she took a XL to fit her normal Medium). /Kerry"

"I've tried all kinds of gloves from several different vendors. These are the only pair of gloves that I own that keep my hands warm in sub-zero temperatures and still allow me to get my trigger finger inside the trigger-gurard of my Browning Gold Hunter. I'd give these gloves 10 stars if they were available. Thanks Cabela's!"

"The make and quality of the elkskin gloves is very good. The only down fall of the glove is the sizing. I ordered a 2X for my son and they fit my XL hand perfect. They are a little small for a true 2X size hand. The good news is I love the gloves."

"While I have plenty of gloves for work and hunting, I did not have a pair of gloves that would be appropriate for wear with a business suit and overcoat. My job takes me to Washington, DC in the winter months, and they come in pretty handy for the bitter cold that can occur there during the winter months. They are well made, stylish and, most importantly, warm."

My hands are freezing,

"Better than nothing, but just barely. If the temperature is below 36 or 37 degrees my hands are freezing. Sometimes I take off the gloves just to see if they are making any difference at all. It is barely noticable that they are."
