"We ordered 7 of these jackets for the members of our ranch community in Wyoming. Everyone really liked them. The jackets are very warm and seem quite durable. "This is mostly a terrific jacket. It's very well made, comfortable, fits great through the shoulders & arms, seems very durable, good room for layering. Handsome color (midnight blue). Easily warm enough down to 30 degrees, probably colder, with a light sweater. Doesn't ride up like most waistband-style jackets I've owned. I wear a hip pack, and the jacket rides above it (so it's accessible) while still keeping me warm just fine. Having the attached hood is great for cold mornings in the car - no hunting for a hat, it comes right off when you're warm enough, your neck is warm, and you'll never misplace it. I rated it 4 stars rather than 5 because for me it's way too big through the lower body. I am 5'11'' and 170 lbs, 42 inch chest, 33 waist - i.e. not tall/scrawny, just a typical size large. Maybe if I had a very big gut I'd appreciate the size; but it's much baggier than two other Carhartt jackets I ordered to try out."

"I gave this to my wife as a Christmas gift. She loved it She wanted a coat that she could wear in the woods and just working a little outdoors that would stand up to harsh treatment and look good too. However, when our son saw it he loved it even more and has worn it ever since Christmas. She didn't have the heart to reclaim it so now we've got to figure out what to do about her a coat. "Carhartt is well known for its quality in outdoor clothing. At this time when Redding is well over 100 degrees I am unable to say just how warm & dry this jacket is doing. Although I do expect it will preform as well as my other Carhartt clothing .
